I've just bought a blue t610 and I'm wondering why I can't find any software for it?? On SE's webpage the mms studio is only for t3xx phones. I can't download any theme editor. It's really annoying. Please help

Here is the global support page for the T610.
Click on "imaging and messaging" for the T610 version of the "Sony Ericsson MMS Home Studio".
On thi spage you can also download PDF manuals and lots of other useful stuff.

Official Sony Ericsson Theme Creator is here.
A third party one, which is much better is here.

Freeware: A first release of a T610 manager. It works through cable, IR and Bluetooth, provided they have an associated COM port.
Besides the T610 model, it should also work with the models T68, T68i, T300/T310 and Z600. But those have not been tested yet.
Features to come: Managing text messages, email, import and export (any format).

Prerequisites: MS .NET Framework (Windows Update)

Tried the download..... without much success.
Needs 'mscoree.dll' which I found on web and then it complained about Registry setting for .NET.
(Running Windows NT here.)

I gave it a go too. Upon loading the software it threw this at me...

Yep, that's the messagebox it gives when you don't have Microsoft .NET Framework installed. You can download it for free from the Microsoft site or Windows Update...

Installing the Microsoft .net monster for one program? I really doubt it's worth it... Why does the program use ms.net anyway?

PPL!!!
Be really careful! Somewhere a link to an virus infected file is hosted!!!
scan anything and everything!!
and read this

Hey Vlammetje,
I didn't get any warnings nor do I see a resident program active...
//
And M2XDAM,
I'm not going to install .NET. If you're a real programmer, you can make a build that doesn't require .NET for everyone to enjoy!

I could, but then I would have to port my program from C# back to C++ and I don't have time for that

Yep, spoken like a true programmer

A bunch of programs require the .NET Framework. So there is nothing wrong with a new T610 program needing it to work.
T610 Manager works fine for me - but as I said - I do have .NET already installed because of a few other programs.
Upcoming XP's/Longhorns will already have .NET to begin with...

I've been programming in vb.Net my self for about a year now, the thing is, after i opened that program, i could not open any other files anymore, every time i tried opening anything it opened that file again, and after deleting that, i could not access to anything, so its either a virus, a bug in the code, or whatever. anyway please do not download that program, its not worth it.

Hmm weird. I have downloaded the T610 Manager, ran it and have had NO PROBLEMS with it!
1. No Virus found
2. No Problems using other Programs while/after running T610 Manager
Except that not all features are yet active it works fine for me...

yeah you are right, i sent it to symantec n they replied theres no malicious code in it, so i might try it again, i donno why it did that to my comp before though :s
