I've just been presented with a T310. As is usually my custom, I set out to find a community associated with the product and that's how I landed up here. I've noticed that there are a few Indians in this forum, so speak up fellows....
I need your help. I've already been to the SE main dealer in Mumbai @ Lamington Road and he was unable to locate a data cable saying they were "Out Of Stock". Where's a good place to get a data cable for the T310 and what's the approx. price [ preferably in INR but $ or EUR also welcome ] ?

Don't bother getting a data cable . . . the sending of images etc. is only one way, from your PC to phone and NOT the other way around. You are better off getting a USB infrared adaptor

But that's exactly what I need. PC -> phone.
What would I send from the phone to the PC? Apart from the backing up or synchronizing of contacts / organizer etc...
I can send images / themes / ringtones via the data cable, can't I ?

sir.please pick up an infrared USB adapter available evrywhere..if you cant find one..check http://www.baazee.com its available for 799 or so.I bought the cable which is being sold by SE for around 1450 but it was useless I could only send images from the phone to PC and not vice versa.
for this you would need a infrared adapter.I had no problems in picking one up in bangalore so im sure you shouldnt have a problem with buying onein mumbai
I couldnt send ringtones or Themes from the PC using the cable I could only send using infrared adapter
