I disagree, If it wasn't for esato I wouldn't be as well informed about some things as I am now. Can you create such a mammoth site and expect every thread to be useful?

Yup. Very informative. But at times i find it difficult to find the info i need as i have to weed through a few irrelevant or inconspihensible posts before finally getting what i need. I credit this mostly to communication gaps, due to the cross-cultural nature of the forum. User interface may also be difficult at times due to the sheer number of threads/posts. :-D

The inability to create topics or select individual forums on wap is just laziness these days. Everytime i mention it It's ignored. Though a google search usually gets you to the topic you want, It's still not good enough.

I think it's just that there's not as many things to discuss about SE phones right now.
The p800 has a huge following and those posts are always very good.
But nothing is a crazy as the t68 era with all the tip tricks etc....
the mobile market with all the colorscreen cam phones is getting a little more flooded now. so more users with the same questions that don't search..which leads to more garbage threads and occasional bickering
I myself don't own a SE anymore... I miss my t68 but the t610 just ain't enough for me now.
Still if i need help on SE stuff i believe this is the place to go.

Esato definitely going downhill, you have to admit it, look at what the mods had to do with the post counts
Though of course i still check whats happening everyday or so, i wont/dont post as much as i use to do, mainly because of the amount of users that waste time and post garbage!

i seriously beg to differ....this site's the best.....where on earth can u get another such like esato....comprehensive and informational.....yes!!! the mix and the culture of the folks here are diverse and the mods have done a fab job at keeping things in perspective *well done*....the forum's effectively categorised.....info search is simple and easy....sure we haf the odd guys *myself included* that hang out lots in the garbage section.....btw, it's aptly called garbage for that very reason.....no need to look into that if u dun wanna.....user has the choice!!!

downhill, with regards to the posting rate i would say it did a bit. eversince that in the philippines, nice globe (mobile operator) blocked esato for the free gprs everybody had to wait to get a desktop just to post, its ok if they were charging cheap, man, in our tight budget, it wont work...

Garbage has gone miles down hill, it used to be full of idiotic pranks, and stupid comments and lies, now its just full of "Divvy idiot appreciation threads" I used to be amused by the garbage, now i thinks its just a place for sad weirdos who use the internet too much.

i do believe the website needs a facelift in the forum dept. like howard did not too long ago. and i agree there are a too many noobs saying absolut nonsense but for the most part i've found this forum to be a great tool for fnding new software and i often recomend the site when someone asks where to download wallpaper etc. no other site on the web has a Rxxx forum. thanks esato, keep up the good work

There was no need for pachy to investigate his postings at 4am in the morning. If you read his first post he has said it has turn into a general discussion board, i think (havent checked his posts) but by those quotes pachy made, they may have been in accordance with the name of the thread which the posts came from, if not, they i dont see no offence made by his use of language (references to "fanny" and "shag" etc). Also, those are only a few posts made (maybe one or two more if pachy looked harder), but compared to the crap coming out of the others (the garbage threads), this a small amount. Everyone has a few bad posts here and there, but the garbage threads take the p*ss......
Also, to all those that are saying, "its the garbage thread, its the garbage" thats why the quality of our posts can be garbage. Stop talking nonsense, its not there so you can post while your bored and got nothing else to do in your life. Fine ok, to be fair, MAKE ONE THREAD where you can all talk "garbage" (the word garbage is not meant to be taken that literally) and post crap about each other, and whatever crap you write in those threads. LOOK at the first or should i say the last two pages in the garbage section (pages 8 and 9 i think): none of the threads go over 40 replies without being CLOSED, though i havent read any of them (dont have time, maybe later and then i give a better/detailed reply) they dont seem any way similar to the threads on the first page (page 1, to those following or wanting to visit).
Basically to end all the crap or to cut down on the amount of garbage posts made, one thread should be made for all the "regulars" (you know who you are), to chit chat and make silly jokes/comments. The rest should all be deleted or archived, this moves me smoothly onto my next point. the moderators.....
"Great job, excellent, thank the mods" are what most of you have said; ok, i agree a great site, really easy to find the advice/info you need, either search or like most people do (maybe because they're lazy or maybe they're new) create a thread for their problem. Fine, excellent service/facilities yes.... but, when it comes to help/queries asking for a specific problem, they, well, sorry to say this; but they're crap (may seem harsh, i know, but i am fed up). I PMed all the mods concerning a problem (aint got a problem with Cytech, as i dont think he was a mod then, so your safe m8), though have to say arnoldc had to be the most helpful mod, kept me up to date though did not provide a solution to my problem and instead mentioned something like he will discuss it with the other mods. never got a final/solution to my problem, and the rest of the mods seem to have not even reply or take an interest anymore. Sure, some of you say, they dont have the time, they're busy etc but this was a serious question, and other little requests went unanswered as well, though these were posted to laffen, himself, and not the all mods. Never did i get a reply back, nor a fix to my problem (aww poor baby, the little kids - referring to the ones that may post with a stupid reply like that, anyway...).
Some of you may say, look they clean up the place, no they didnt, some (dont know who, must of be a lot of people) may have asked the mods to stop SE-Man from become the top poster, so instead of deleting all the posts/threads, the mods stop the posts counts from rising, wow, great fix, the fact that only one person (or maybe those who asked laffen to look into it - not me BTW for those that may have assumed this) was interested in the post counts, this didnt really help - the only positive aspect of this move i can think of is that, if someones searches, they may find their answer in one of the garbage threads - not likely though is it? Should have them all deleted, like i have said already above.
To improve the mods situation and to help esato from going down hill (i am also the one that said that it is, not just wildmurphy), either appoint more mods in relevant parts of the forum (i.e more mods in garbage section, if they prefer not to delete them - though i see it as a disappointment that these threads have reached the top 20 replies, and that new comers/visitors will not register/post due to the topics/posts of this forum and not more SE related topics amongst the top 20/general forum), or apply the necessary points i have already mentioned above. Appointment of mods can either be up to laffen and the other mods, or nominations can be made, then laffen and friends can judge to see whom they'll appoint? What ever they do, i hope they dont just ignore this thread/post, because of all the laughing from others and treat this seriously, as many have stopped posting as they regularly do (or stopped completely), a shame....
p.s dont try to make jokes or insult me, because you will lose the interest of the mods in this thread. Please PM me if you wish to have an argument, or have a problem with me, no need for a show-off display, because you will be the one embarrassed or stopped from posting insults.
Just like to say, missed out on putting funny/joke faces in this post, couldn’t be bothered, though may later put them in later, so some can see where the sarcasm is (some may not notice
