My phone always says: not acceptable. i can't even view esato's pages through xhtml. is it service provider related (vodafone), or phone related? any suggestions?

does tagtag.com/wapchimp work?

Posted by Whave
no, not acceptable

Sorry but are you sure that your phone is T68i with \"i\" ? If it isnt, that why it doesn work...

Posted by Whave
yes i am sure. the sticker under the battery says 'i', and i have the soft r7a003, as far as i know r7 only came out for the 'i' phone. but it has MMS in it, so it's a 100% t68i i still think it's vodafone's fault.

btw i checked wap.gemal.dk, an online phone tester, and it says i CAN accept xhtml/xml/xvml files.

You really sure T68i is supposed to have Xhtml??

yes, T68i support wap 2.0 which is where xHtml was introduced

well.... weird that

but esato xhtml works fine for me...... (excepts for a few script errors on certain favourite threads of mine )

must be the phone then

When I had T68i, I never had any problems accessing Esato via xhtml..
No problems accessing it now (with T610) either.
Are you sure you are not trying to enter HTML light forums?!

hmmm.... on my T300 the lite verion gives me a 'this page is too large' message rather than an error...

It seems to be a combination of factors. I have several blocked xhtml sites, not just esato forums. It appears my carrier's network (T-Mobile, USA
) has blocked most -- if not all the wap 2.0 sites. I have had to reprogram to add "WML" to sites that I used to get into with xhtml.

T-Mobile researched this. Stated that they are closing the trouble ticket because, I am clearly able to use the network. I think they told me that they may not support xhtml any longer; there message was vague.

Also, Esato upgraded its software recently. From then on, I can no longer get into xhtml version of forum. Anyone have a clue?
