It didn't cross my mind before getting the phone because this is the first J2ME device I've had, but now I can see the advantages and I'd really like the phone to support sockets so Java apps can interface with the internet. After that, I want a UK train planner (with live updates on delays) and a currency convertor.

As for games; a few of the glassic Gameboy and Gamegear games would be nice (Mario, Sonic etc), and maybe some sort of adventure rpg that could be long running to keep me busy in uni lectures.

Big fat No1: Better implementation! Itīs even worse than Siemens S55 i have, and that one is slow
It does have socks support though, which is brilliant for using MobICQ

Cheers!

Btw: Dragon Island is the best game i have tried so far, and itīs already available for the t610

I could name a few good ideas, but we would need socket support and bluetooth API for that.

Advanced games that have fast frame rate wont be possible. The java is too slow. Check out www.jbenchmark.com and see!

It would be good to have the game bounce (the one on the new nokia's...)And the game skydiver which only works on nokia's... But because of the bad java implementation of the t610, I don't think they would work good...

Ok, i didnīt say it in those exact words, but that was the message really

I'll add a vote for Worms too, no reason why it cant be done, its not graphically intensive, not a 'fast' game and pretty simple 'collision detection' type calculations.

@ThreeX: You are so right! I was having a senior moment.

lijepa recenica prijatelju, dali je to sve bogatstvo tvog hrvatskog jezika?

My first wishlist for the T610 would be an software upgrade to support Java better.

The T610 is a very good phone with a good processor, but the Java support software written for the T610 is bad. SE should do something about the handset's Java capabilities.

Just by looking at how smooth GIF now looks like with the R1L firmware and how smooth and graphically beautiful some Mophun games are confirm that the T610 doesnt' have a bad processor.

It's just a matter of software!

Just look at the T68m and the latest T68i software. VERY BIG differences in menu and messaging speed.

I'd like that joystick-LED to blink on any incoming event, so that I wouldn't need to turn the LCD on to check for new messages, missed calls etc...
