I've heard of a code that can make your T68i into a radar/speedcam detector. Is this for real and if so what is the code and how does it work?

Grtz!

Could that really be true?
If it is i would love that, maybe it wold work
with my t610 also?

I think twilightwap have some code or other, they say it relates to Nokia phones but it involves adding area info settings so I guess it's network related not handset related (doesn't say which network though) go to twilightwap.com on your phone.

Oh look. A flying pig. It's a myth, the nokia method invokes turning on closed user groups, which does just that. Meaning you won't get calls from users not in your group. Erase this cack from your mind now.

hmm have no wap as yet but thanks for the tip anyone else who knows the code?
and thank you Bosshogg for that! don't you just love those flying pigs!
Grtz!

I have followed a few long threads on the usenet groups aus.comms.mobile and alt.cellular.nokia but no one actually said it worked on the nokias. I reckon its all a joke myself! I mean how could it possibly work? location based services yes maybe but this radar detector thing on Nokias has been around for a few years.

I've never heard of this in relation to any other brand of phone though.

Invokes=involvesThem ship be close relatives of minds, i only send them up once a year:-D

I remember a code that worked on old nokiar which set off the theft alarms in the exits to some shops. Gr8 fun :-D

it was on nokia phones and all ti was if u entered 0000 in to the cell info menu ( i think ) you got a spinning radar thing on the screen where the profile name went. but it didnt detect speed traps or anythink it was just a blag to show your friends in the pub it also works with 1111 or any oter number that isnt on the networks cell info list

Anyone got the code for the "Anti-laser" thing on rear mirror ???????
I read somewhere its available for SE P800 now. I REALLY want this app.

What he meant was, i think, that people having CDs hanging or stuck in their cars hoping to trick radars/speed detectors are complete morons. We have quite a few over here as well. P.S. I've heard of this radar detection trick for Alcatels a couple of years ago - I thought it was yet another bad joke.

Posted by pachy
Er....i was taking the piss actually

Posted by judge
@pachy: i know that. my reply was aimed @warrmr. Sorry - should have made that clear.

Spend $50 and get the actual radar detector to keep in your car. I don't see what the hype is. And yes, the thing with NOKIA dubbing as the radar detector has been around for 4-5 yrs. My friend, a proud Nokia owned, paid many a speeding ticket, whilst convinced his "radar detector" was on.

I guess it depends on whether or not you believe in Santa Claus...

Posted by pachy
@moodswinger, I dont need the "See who's coming down my chimney" Santa claus app, as i dont go to THOSE sort of clubs

F*ck off

Excuse me??? That was totally unnecessary!

Posted by T.Bear
Yes, Judge understood me well. Phones and compact discs have
nothing with police radars or lasers. It's only a joke, but people
like to believe it.

Posted by pachy
Ok...But where do we stand on this "Santa Claus" charactor ?

Posted by mixin
why did se turkey even post :?

no need!

Posted by Aled
Well in the tests i've seen the cd in the back window trial does REDUCE the chance of them getting a clear picture, nothing to do with lasers just reflects the light from the flash. Still, in most of the tests it only works about 10% of the time. Best advice is don't break the speed limit or just deal with it and pay the fines

So that we can all dwell on his wisdom.

what could (possibly) be done, with the p800, is a GPS based app with the locations of static cameras and known police hideouts. it would make some kind of alert on nearing one of these positions, hopefully helping u to avoid a ticket!
there are systems that u can buy to do this but they cost a fortune.
normal radar detectors are crap anyway. my mate had one in his car, we were sitting in a car park and the bloody thing went off! apparently it would go off when going past shops with auto doors too lol
the speed limit should be raised on motorways anyway but thats never gunna happen *sigh*

Posted by pachy
@SCORPIONKING1982, Do you really think the M11/M25 near you would benefit from more idiots trying to do 90mph up each others arses on an already overcrowded crappy 3 lane road,
I don't.
I think it should be 60mph in the busy day time when its the most dangerous, but 85mph at night after midnight when its empty. to encourage using them at night.

my friends put clear type on their motor bike license plates, that usually works

Good radar/laser detectors work very well. You do get other alarms on to register on it around motion detector alarm systems on businesses and such but they are a different alarm. You pretty much have to have one for a month or so before you pick up on all the little differences. I have been using one for a couple of years now and its easy to run about 15 mph over and not worry about a ticket. At 15 mph over you still have time to beat a laser.

Posted by gatevital
You could always drive at or near the speed limit;-);-) or drive at 200mph to beat the cameras:-D.

Bull****, it really works!! A friendīs cousing of my sisterīs neighbour said.
There is also a special code wich need 2 extra codes to unlock and that can actually make you time travel, but just between payment days of your phone bill - back and forth.
Anyone got the codes yet...Į
