I have a few more advanced java games to download. These are officially for the nokia series 51xx 66xx 7250 6800 etc. These games only exist out of 1 JAR file which I can Download. My T610 will save the game but when I try to open it, it shows the Java powered logo and then gives the message that it is an "invalid application".......
Is this error occured by:

1. the fact that I'm missing for example an .JAD file or something or do I have to convert the JAR to an other format????

2. the fact that my T610 mobile supports only Java MIDP 1.0 and these games maybe need MIDP 2.0????

If the prob is probably occured by the 2nd option is it possible to upgrade my software on the phone to MIDP 2.0???

If it's 1: some dude compiled a hand pack with 130 games (search this forum for it), you should get these to work. If it's 2: the update is possible.

No it's not that 130 games pack. These are standalone great compiled games (Splinter Cell, Fifa2003, Ferrari Challenge etc.) But The error is given and I suppose it is the MIDP 1.0 that gives the problem.
How and where can I do a software upgrade in that case?

and your sure it's not the missing of an JAD file that provides this error?

yes i sure splinter cell comes with a jad file
but ive tried it and most of the good nokia games dont seam to work

You can get your firmware upgraded for free in a SE service centre in your neighbourhood (use the \"dealer locator\" at www.sonyericsson.com). Be sure to bring your proof of purchase.

nokia put their own midlet standard into all their java games, wont work on siemens, sonyericsson or motorola

Does anyone also know where I can see what SW version I have now running on my t610 and which version the latest is????

But if nokia put an own standard into the midlets, would it be possible to recompile te game? Because it's based on the same platform, except for the diffence between de MIDP version.
