I recently purchased a SE T610 and have it configured to check my POP3 email. The configuration works fine for checking and downloading messages. When I try to reply or send an email through my ISP smtp mail server its rejected. I believe this is because my isp provider doesn't recognize my ip address as being in their network and thus will not allow emails to be sent from their smtp server. I think this is to prevent spam. I have two isp providers, one is a cable modem connection and the other is an adsl connection. Does anyone know of a way around this, such as a 3rd party smtp mail server that I can route outgoing messages through?

Also, I am having trouble getting the SE T610 to check my hotmail email. what is the hotmail incoming and outgoing mail server. I put in www.hotmail.com for both but don't think this is correct. I'm assuming the protocal is IMAP4, is this correct?

Don't think hotmail provides free pop3 or imap accessing. But you can try to access your hotmail account via wap http://mobile.msn.com/

You need to use the SMTP server of the network you are on - e.g. the orange one is smtp.orange.co.uk

3rd party SMTP servers aka. open relay mail servers are available (search on google) but 99.9% of your mail will be blocked as spam since the feckers send spam through ORMS.
As bossjohnc said, simply use the SMTP server of your network provider.
For hotmail you can try Neocore's passthru server (see this thread for details) but I dont know if it is still working.

Phil.
