Another way:
- create a note on the T610.
- transfer it to your PC and open the file NOTE.VNT with Notepad
- it should look like this:
BEGIN:VNOTE
VERSION:1.1
BODY:This is a note... bla bla bla
DCREATED:20030717T082011Z
LAST-MODIFIED:20030717T082014Z
CLASS:PUBLIC
X-IRMC-LUID:000001000000
END:VNOTE
well, replace the boby content by the content of your text file, save and then transfer the VNT file back to your T610.
I haven't tried with lots of text but it work.
My idea: keep one empty VNT file on your PC and use it as a template.
Good Luck!

well, I hadn't fully tested it before when I post the note trick.
Actually, you are limited in the amount of text you can put in the file.
4 or 5 lines is maximum and forget about line breaks.
Also, 2 things to consider if you use the template file:
1. make sure if you upload one note from the file already on the phone, that this note no longer exist in the phone.
2. send a new note from the phone to edit it and send back
3. In fact, you have to change the field at the bottom of the template before sending it:
X-IRMC-LUID:000001000000
in this case the "1" means the first note so first time leave 1, second time change the 1 in 2 and etc.
I recon it's pretty basic but enough for my use, I don't need to read ebooks on my T610.
Good Luck!

For those of you Mac users, someone came up with a little application that allows you to type notes in your computer and store them in your T610 as .vst notes via Bluetooth, although it's not as good when it comes to notes created with the phone sent to the computer. Anyway, it's called BlueNotes and you can download it at:

i got a a java app by tequilacat, that is something like ebook reader and it contains two russian ebooks as well, how do i download new books? thanks

@shyam335 - If you are fond of classical books, you can go to www.gutenberg.org. They have tons of e-books there. Select the .txt file version and save to your PC. There are lots of other sites as well that offer free e-books.
If you need help on how to load the .txt file into Bookreader, just post in this thread again.

that was a nice site

@shyam335 - You must know how to use Winzip, Winrar, etc. Then do the following:
1) Delete the Bookreader that you have from your t610 (this is necessary, you will see later why.)
2) Download the file se_bookreader.jar (version 1.6.5) from http://tequilacat.narod.ru/dev/br/index-en.html. Save it in your PC.
4) Open the .jar file with Winzip, WinRar, or any compatible file compression program. (A .jar file is a type of zipped archive.)
5) From within the archive, you will see that there are five text files. Two of them are essential and should not be touched -- "loc.txt" and "encoding.txt". However, the other three -- "textfile.txt", "textfile1.txt", and "textfile2.txt" -- represent your books or notes for reading, and can be removed/replaced.
6) At this point it is important to understand that the books to be loaded to the archive should 1) be in plain text format, and 2) bear the filename "textfile.txt", "textfile1.txt", "textfile2.txt", etc. If you don't name your books this way, they cannot be read. "Textfile.txt" will be the 1st book when you run Bookreader.
You cannot name the books "textfile01.txt", "textfile02.txt", etc. They cannot be read. In short, no zeros at the beginning of the number!
7) You can delete the preloaded "textfile.txt" etc. files from the archive. They are just sample books.
9) Add the renamed file (step
10) Close the archive. It now contains your book/note. (Winzip automatically saves changes to archive upon closing.)
11) Send this updated archive to your T610 via BT, IR, or cable. Make sure that you have deleted the un-updated archive in your phone (step 1) to prevent runtime errors.
12) Enjoy reading!
Tip: To save on phone memory, you can also delete font.png and font-lscp.png from the archive, using Winzip/Winrar. When these are removed, the default T610 font will be used.
All this may seem complicated at first but is really easy and will quickly become 2nd nature.

bvOffice is also worthy of installing in the phone. It's a good text editor which automatically saves the date when you created the note. Look for v1.02.
