hi all,

is there any way of accessing the 'my shortcuts' icon directly instead of starting off with the 'messaging' icon when you first enter the menu screen?

You can hold the joystick left for 2 seconds orso and it will access the first function of your shortcuts menu directly. So, the first shortcut is very fast reachable, but the rest is just by accessing the menu and go to the shortcut menu.

Is it so difficult to press joystick and press 3? (or move joystick right and press 3)
Remember that the number keys can be used to select the different menues from the Desktop window.

compared to the T68/T68i, yes. the T610 doesn't require holding the joystick to the left for 3 secs any more. one tap is all that's required. in the previous t68 series, one quick tap would bring you to the other end of the icon menu, i.e. 'my shortcuts' directly, while holding it for 3 secs would access the first item in the 'my shortcuts' menu. considering the t610 is based on the t68 platform, it wouldn't have hurt to retain the function since it is, theoretically, supposed to be a 'shortcut'

Yes. Just go in to the icon "My shortcuts".
Then type "Edit shortcuts". There, when you shose a shortcut a popup will ask wich number you want it to. The most cummon option u want. chose number 1! Then when u use left on the joystick you first shortcut will start!!
