t39mc / access-4-free dial up isp / bluetooth connection to PDA

I must be a donut, but I cannot figure this out: I am trying to get to an ISP dialup connection via Bluetooth between my t39mc and Sony PDA.

Me:
t39mc
T-Mobile prepaid account
Sony NZ90 with built in Bluetooth, with BT drivers on board
Access-4-Free dialup ISP

Normally I can do this via gomadic cable and moto phone. But now that I am visiting with a my t39mc and T-Mobile prepaid SIM, I cannot figure this out, let alone what settings I should be using.

I know that I wont be able to help you out if there is a problem with the connection between devices but you could at least outline what your problem is.

i have already paired the devices.

via the pda - i have already entered the isp info in network and connections.

i have the bt phone drivers loaded on the pda.

i have not changed any settings on the phone (i thought that as long as bt is on and i am dialing to an isp vs gprs, i don't need any settings on the phone)

when i select connect on the pda - the phone actually starts to dial and connect, then 10 seconds later disconnects.

i don't know why.
