Have you contacted your provider and asked them to enable GPRS on your account?

Yes, I have. They reccomend downloading from Carrot.no. Tried that, with exactly the same result: 'GPRS failed'.

have you got the correct settings for the phone. i know with o2 uk you need different ones depending on whether your on contract or pay and go, double check to be safe. also if you not had gprs activated on your account for long, turn the phone on and off it you aint done that already.

Terribly sorry that my original post was left empty! I thought I had deleted it entirely, but obviously not....

The problem was solved when my service provider finally discovered that GPRS was disabled on my account. Works fine when they finally enabled it!

Sorry again for making a little bit of a mess.....
