Came from Greenbelt last night when my principals called me to confirm the coup... Just came back from The Ritz to evacuate some friends... Just like the previous coups and EDSA attempts, prepare for psychological warfare.

Posted by tom_riddle
Gandang umaga po esato. I really don't know who to believe in this dialogue that the government is having. And to make the matter worse, the media is making the public more tensed.

Posted by bonito99
Coffee.
Serious situation.
ANC monitoring.
Sec. lina accuses Sen. Honasan as well as the mastermind

Posted by GOwin
It was Golez who started the accusation about Honasan being involved in all these, citing that the mutineers are mouthing Honasan's National Recovery Program.

This is stupid. Gago din 'tong mga opisyal na ito para magpagamit pa sa mga politiko

Posted by tom_riddle
Dont u think that this golez and lina are just fabricating reports to make them look good in the eyes of the public? Arent they thinking of the economy? Our credibility? Ginagawa nilang tanga at gago ang mga madla.

Posted by GOwin
@tom
more like shooting from the hip. at this time, wala pang malinaw.

btw, the magdalo group (that's how they're calling the putschists at makati) denied any links with honasan.

credibility? ano yun?

Posted by Rotavap
Sen Honasan just on the air at abscbn

Is it safe to go back to Manila this afternoon?

Posted by GOwin
@rotavap
the situation is limited in makati area, particularly oakwood/intercon/G4 area.

Posted by bonito99
I have nothing to say about Golez.

Posted by neilgoth
@*, psy-war it is, mukhang may points n maganda ang magdalo grp. Gov't side naman parang may tinatago.

-> on a side note i saw a soldier with a p800, taga-esato kaya?

Posted by dlreyes
Well, just like other coup attempts and EDSA bruhahas, sensitive areas are limited to small packets around MetroManila.

Posted by GOwin
legitimate yung concerns nila, maling forum ang ginamit. besides, they've presented no evidence to support their allegations.

Posted by dlreyes
Trillanes (the leader) has brought up those issues already during his meeting with GMA so he probably gave up already... he's young, smart and has consistently stood his ground since the start of his carrer basing it from his thesis he made as part of his mba.

Posted by 619
bida nanaman ang ABS-CBN... doing interview w/ the coup leader...

Posted by bonito99
We need idealists like Trillanes nowadays.

Posted by GOwin
sarado na ang south and nort expressway.

@rota

Posted by Rotavap
@gowin - nag coup d'etat din mga inasal dito... pinapaalis na ako...
I've decided to go back to Manila this afternoon. Might get worse the next days...

Posted by tom_riddle
@gowin, wala na ngang natitirang credibilidad eh. Lalo pa nilang sinagad.

Posted by GOwin
malacanang has declared the Philippine in a State of Rebellion, and has directed the State Security Forces to suppress the rebellion

Posted by clark27
maiba naman panalo pacquiao!!!! YAHOO!!!!!
@ml: hahahaha para akong nakakita ng danggit na pinapatuyo

Posted by GOwin
kath
which one isn't true?

Posted by GOwin
it's just an accusation, and it's not impossible. but can you prove otherwise?

remember that honasan have led previous coups. if he's involved in this, it won't be the first time.

Posted by kath
crap the accusations

Kath: live with it. It's on the news. It's just a report.

Posted by GOwin
unfortunately, things don't always go the way we'd like it to be.

the old coup leaders during aquino's administration made the same demands with the government then. would you be surprised to know what they are doing now? a lot of them now are just as corrupt as the officials and officers they used to complain about.

the bottomline is that all they had lusted for is power. it doesn't sound nice, but that's the truth.

pepsi or coke?

Posted by kapitan jackal
@* FVR on ANC. same old pathetic, tobacco munching, american lapdog. he was asked for his opinion on the current military crisis.

wala akong nadinig kundi ang pagiging bida nya sa 1986 EDSA ek-ek. kaya until now di ako registered voter eh.

the electoral process will not change the current status of the filipino people. it will not be the solution. kala ko corrupt na si mckoy. eh pano si FVR? si ERAP?

the filipino people should stop dreaming that electing new leaders will save them from poverty, injustices etc

my two cents!

Posted by ferrarista44
pasok ba ko tomorrow? safe kaya?

Posted by kapitan jackal
@Ferr- bago yang tanong mo, eto muna

may pasok ba bukas? (pre-school to college level) ? salamas!

Posted by ferrarista44
@kap jak- kanina they named schools na walang pasok. mostly from makati, some from qc area.

balik na sa barracks, shoo, shoo.

Let's hope better things arise from this situation.

Quote from MTC's Lipstick:
Eversince the Cory Administration, I have been very apolitical. Call it a form of resigned indifference which is bad but that's how it is for me. I know I can't change the world nor one country. Hence, I have tried in my own little way to change lives for the better by sending less fortunate children to school, donating what I can to orphanages. I tell myself to work hard, pay my taxes and hopefully someday whatever I contribute will be for the betterment of this country's future.

Let's dispense with semantics whether this is a coup, state of rebellion, mutiny or what-have-you for a moment. I caught the Junior Scout Ranger's outcry (whose name escapes me) on TV earlier and at the risk of being saccharinely mushy I was truly moved to tears. Call me emotional but it hurt me, I felt his pain, his frustration. Was that acting on his part? Some portion of a script orchestrated by the higher ups? I don't know. All I know is that the two demands he aired were so basic -- accounting of ammunition after every encounter and decent housing.

While many of you may argue along with the numerous other officials who have come forward that they should've followed due process even if their pleas will fall on deaf ears again ---- I guess after you see hundreds of your fellow soldiers die from government bullets it does something to you. As to the decent housing, they are afterall the first to die in combat so why can they not at the very least have this? I am a conscientious and diligent taxpayer, should I not also have a say how my hard earned money should be spent?

I know there are many implications to their uprising, but must it always come to this before pleas are heard? Perhaps it is time, for the powers that be, to listen for a change and stop talking.

@*. Finally it's over. I was at G4 last Saturday night watching Tomb Raider(LFS). So ayun paglabas namin may gulo na. We were advised to leave the place right away. Mas nag-panic pa yung mga security guard ng Ayala Center. Tsk tsk tsk.

What a day!
