Oh. My. God. That is without a doubt the ugliest looking phone I've ever seen. At least Nokia are aiming it for a good purpose, i.e. the emergency services. Still, I bet even firemen and paramedics will be embarrassed to use it!

It's a typical US Phone, it has an integrated CB. You can find a lot of phones in the US with this feature. I know a lot of people there, who use the CB instead of the normal GSM, because it don't cost anything.
But I agree.....it's ugly, but which Nokia isn't!!! *gg*

Must the participants of this forum automatically bash Nokia? The Nokia in the URL is a TETRA radio handset, used by police, ambulance, fire departments, miners, etc. It's designed to be used on-site under any weather condition, and operated single handedly. Does Sony Ericsson make anything remotely similar?

if i remember correctly, we cannot use those TETRA walkie talkie. It need some infrastructure. Normally it will be something sort after by police, fire dept or rescue dept etc etc.
it is ugly because it need to BE....take a look on those button, all are huge so the user can reach for the right command fast. This is where design give way for ergonomics features.
