Could midi files for poly ringtones for Nokia phones work with the T610 without any conversion?

Posted by dmgpizen
As long as it is an .mid file, no problem.

Defnitely can. Nokia poly (4 chord) tone sucks anyway why not get the mid file and just upload it to the T610 it sounds way way way way way way way better. No conversion is needed not like the stupid nokia ones need conversion and sounds.........

Have you noticed if you have a nokia the infra red is completely useless like you cant transfer a picture through laptop infra red and things

Only the 3510 have 4 channels poly tones. All the other has 16 or 24 (?)...

Is there is any MP3/CD/WAV/WMA file to MID converter ?

I have a T610.

Series 40 phones (6610/7210/etc.) have 4 note polyphonic, with only 29 melodic instruments and 14 percussive instruments.

Series 60 phones (3650/7650) have 24 note polyphony, with General MIDI support.

Both have SP-MIDI support too.

T300/T610 have 24/32 note polyphony and similar instruments, but have better samples so they sound better.

May be that Nokia 3650 has 24 midi cords as against 32 in SE T310 or T610. But can the ring tones available at http://clubsonyericsson.com/resources/ringtones/t300_ringtones.zip be played on Nokia 3650? I find these tones available at Sonyericssonclub of exceptional quality. How do I know which ones have 24 midi cords and which ones have more?
