Anyway, just done a search, and this is how to do the 13 sec trick:
Do the 13 sec trick. It wil just reset your phone but the sure thing is that you'll double your memory. Pre-defined items take so much in your memory. To do this trick go to settings then master reset then enter passwrd after you press ok count 13 sec then after that remove battery.
Its meant to free up memory, but have heard it doesnt work with the t610

I have a plan/idea of how one might get the voda settings off:
Get it unlocked (think this is important)
Then when carrying out a master reset, one can tell when the phone has done the first bit (the SE bit), the screen goes black after the first loading bit, then before the phone starts up (and continues to load again, i think this is where the voda settings are put back in), take off the battery, and switch sims (so that when you switch it on again, it wont need to load voda settings - hopefully). Or take out the battery when it says loading.... try both.
I dont know if this works, just a wild guess

yeah i'd do it immediately when you get the t310 or you'll use all of your phone contacts etc.

It doesn't erase all the predefined stuff, it only hides it, and by this way you will get maximum of 100 kb, usually 30-50! The only thing you get rid of is the locked logo of T-mobile, Vodafone and etc. But it works..

Its a firmware bug, only solution is to upgrade the phone.

I tried the 13s trick last night on my 5 day old Vodafone Live! T610.
It worked...a bit
Here's what I had after doing it.
My Pics (can't delete these):
Flower, Rose, Voda Screensaver, Sky, Sand, Roses, Pebbles, Grass, Cracked Mud, Arrow, Ferrari, Butterfly, Idiot Jumping.
Plus all the 2 tone sms pics (bandit etc). These can be deleted.
My Sounds (can't delete these):
Relaxed Soul, Funky Pop, Ibiza Party. All the others are gone.
Themes (can't delete these):
Blue, Vodafone. Classical is gone.
Games (can be deleted):
Q*Bert, one other I can't remember, Mini Golf
The Vodafone Live! stuff is still there (GPRS / WAP settings too)
Once I'd deleted everthing I could, I had over 2000 KB free, but as the pictures loaded they ate memory.
myt610.com has all the original sounds, themes etc to download.
I put back on Old phone sound, 4 of my own sounds, 1 of my pics, Classical Theme, Pac Man, (kept minigolf), bluetoothed my contacts and calendar from my T68mi, and set up my BTopenworld e-mail.
In Memory Status I have 1559 KB free
Sounds 0 B (8 sounds - don't know why it says zero)
Pics 486 KB (14 pics)
Themes 146 KB (3 themes)
MMS Inbox 0 KB
MMS Unsent 0 KB
MMS Sent 0 KB
MMS Templates 0 KB
Games and More 22 KB (Pac man)
Games 67 KB (Golf)
Before I had about 750 KB free
I lost my chesswhizz though, and I'm not paying another £4.50 to get it again, so if anyone can let me have it...
This worked for my, but you do it at your own risk.
I took the back cover off and held the battery in place until 12.5 secs, then let it fall out.
Also, my T610 Vodafone Live! is R2C 03W19. I can't say I've noticed any hissing. The sound quatily is as good as my T68m (upgraded to R7A).
I'm quite happy with the phone, and the Vodafone Live! doesn't bother me too much as it only affects wap, which I don't really use. The Voda theme, 12 predefined pics and screensaver, are a nuisance, but with 1559 KB free I have more than twice as much than I had with my T68mi

I got the very same result as Rangi Tan. 2055 kb free, around 1600 after the images loaded. Not bad though. almoast 1 mbyte gained.

I have just reset my phone, and i have now lost the sony ericsson startup logo, it has been replaced with the t-mobile picture.....and ideas how this happened, when i had the other one before that!Cheers people!

After resetting, the phone does not calculate the Sounds directory in Memory Status anymore. And also if you didn't notice or maybe it is just mine, when you try to go to SE link under Games &more and or Other games it does not bring you to the games section anymore but to the wallpaper section. This is a bug I guess, I asked the SE and they said they will contact the headquarters and let me know how to fix this or they are willing to pay back the money I paid if I wanted to return the phone.

I also have a vodefone T160 - can you tell me if resetting it using the 13 second trick resets the icons to the proper colours instead of the awful red and blue ones? If not, is there a way to do this (firmware upgrade?)
Also, I hate the vodafone logo on the case and I'd quite like the volcano red cover - does anyone know where in the UK I can get a replacement case?
I think vodafone should ask if you want their crappy branding on the phone!

the menu icons can't be changed.... it's in the firmware and a reset will not help. The Vodafone branded T610 have a special Vodafone firmware and can't be upgraded with ordinary firmware.

No, not all the predefined items can be deleted. My T610 is on VF and the VF theme/animation/pictures can't be deleted. There are also a few pictures/ringtones and a 'Blue' theme, which I'm guessing are standard SE predefined items.... None of these can be deleted either

Hi every1, MY FIRST POST!!!! just been the owner of a magnificent t610 for over 2wks now, delighted to say it makes me feel like im using a phone and not a piece of plastic hehe.
Regarding the memory, I purchesed mine from carphone warehouse and it had just over 1Mb free memory, after installing some games, themes and ringtones (which sound eccentric) it had less than 500kb left .
Did a master reset, the 13 second trick does not work, to my amazement, it quoted 2207kb of free memory. Does this mean the SE t610 really has 4Mb? i think so, its just the firmware and predefined items that take up nearly 2mb of space.
BTW, when u do a master reset, 16 images under the abtract are reloaded, even though i deleted them including the parachute etc;. This was quite surprising and perhaps suggests that the t610 does have 4mb, but protects half of it from bein modified hmmmm........

Everything can be deleted on my T610 except the two flowers b/w rose and the colour one. A few predefined ringtone cannot be deleted I especially hate Digirain that takes up 27kb and sucks. Besides that everything can be deleted.

I loaded Alien Scum, Deep Abyss and Honey Cave 2, along with mini golf dat sucks but u cnt delete it lol
I den loaded a small pic bout 12kb in size
Got onto the ringtone area and dl some cool ringtones (Movin, Dance Schon, NYC and Moonstar r really cool)
Finally, i downloaded two themes, Deep Ocean and Down Below (which looks gr8)
Got 1611kb of free mem, so i can take roughly 30 photos working from 50kb in size each
Oh yea, and my GPRS is free cool huh;)

All the programs/pics/sounds that you lose by doing the 13 second trick you can just delete them by clicking more and then delete, so it's kind of pointless really!!!

If the price difference really isn't that big, I would definitely go for an unbranded, sim lock version!! No doubt about it.
That way you can customize it to YOUR wishes, rather than voda's. Also you can switch plans a lot easier should you wish to do so.

Yesterday i took some photos and suddenly my t610 shut down. I started it again and EVERYTHING was lost. Every theme, every ringtone, every game. 2080kb free memory! It's n1ce but now i'm serchin' for new ringtones and games. Would be n1ce if ya tell me a nice site on the net.

yep, the 13-sec trick works, i tried it more than once. but then again it is merely to free up more space the faster way instead of deleting everything 1 by 1. it's worth a try i would say.

Even if 13 second trick could remove things you can't remove manually are those few extra kbs worth removing a power source from a sensetive electronic device during memory load time? If your PC looses power - you have scandisk/chkdsk to check disk integrity. There is nothing of that sort on the phone to check the integrity of the user memory. So, is it worth it?

Got my T310 yesterday..
I installed the Mophun game Hugo, and downloaded a tune..
It says that i've got 451 kb free memory..
My sounds, pictures, themes and games fill up 531 kb all together (can't spell right now..tired)
How much memory can i free up, if i do a master reset?
I want to make sure first, because then i will erase the game Hugo (and i can't let that happen
Does it help to do more than one?
How can i make sure that i made a 13 sec. trick, and not just an ordinary master reset?
