And sorry `bout my absens from the net. Ive been bizzi in Skåne taking care off my family, since my older brother passed away some weeks ago in a massive heartattack, DOA, so they couldnt revive him.
It was no surprise but it still rams u like a blow to the head, couldnt think stright there for some days.
Leaving me as the eldest living male, and head of the klan. No big deal but still a lot of responsibilitys.
I would rather him having it and still be here so I can flimsy around a bit more.

adam, very sorry to hear that mate. all my best wishes to you and your family.
ed's host basically charged a bargain 12p to host his site, but only delivered 4p worth of service. they didn't seem to think about security until after they were hacked, and the server holding guru was lost irrepairably.
@ mixin, i usually work weekends, but this one is my weekend off. i did woork in loughborough in my old store, but when i joined cpw i moved to notts.

their server was hacked (u may have seen my site defaced for a day) they then tried to increase security (allegedly) and fubared 2 of their servers for over 2 weeks! this plus all the random downtime i was getting plus the TOTAL lack of support plus the fact there we no real upgrade options if i were ever stupid enough to want to upgrade with them meant that i have moved to a new host (voted the Uk's no 1 2 years running) with loads of bandwidth. space and unlimited upgarde options.. oh and support

they were only a small chain, and were starting to make redundancies and close some of the shops. i wasn't up for redundancy, but i decided better to get out on my terms than to wait and get laid off anyway.

When I moved mine there weere two ways of doing it
1. Change nameservers at BHosts to point to 1&1 ns.
2. Move your .co.uk to 1&1 control.
I did no 1. it took 24 hrs to do.
If you are doing no 2, I would imagine it would take longer especially if you want Bargainshitehost to do something.

i just sent bargainhost a form 1&1 gave me asking them to:

which by email they have responded to saying they have done this. also 1&1 say they can see they have done this:
As this is a .uk domain name the only thing that is needed to transfer
this over to us is for the curent host to change the ips tag of the
domain name to schlund, I now see that this was done a little earlier
and as sudch we shoudl pick the tag up shortly and the domain name be useable within 24 hours to 48.
so i think it should be ok - it's just that is way over 48hrs now so i am getting concerned as u all no i have no patience whatsoever

Morning all. I got told about an apprenticeship scheme with o2 yesterday, seems that i could do it. Its about 13k a year i think, but it would mean me relocating to either essex or slough. (on my own!) what do you think? should i pursue college first?

well depends on what u want to do m8.. education is good if u want to stay in it but if ur heart isn't in it maybe go for the job.
personally i would go to college but that's just me. a lot of my m8's didnt go to college and are earning more than me now so cant say that college/uni is always the better option career wise although i still believe it helps to have a degree etcfurther into ur career but thats just ym opinion
