Kev, realised my mistake after postin, but cant edit my posts! Im using dvd decryptor to get rid of security gubbins (takes no time at all) and rip vob files, dvd2avi for convertin, then virtual dub to jig the audio back together. Things were going well until my computer did during conversion, now it keeps dying everytime i do anything remotely processor straining. Actually, i just fixed it, bastard files were multiplying. Righto, off to the land of la for me. Night you lot. (That includes mixin this time, i forgot ya last time!)

mornin. think i'll have a lie-in 2moro. u can do the honours ed m8. andy mate i use eazyvcd coz it does everyhing for ya, u can do the whole lot with one mouseclick and then just leave it to it. will burn a vcd lunchtime see what it came out like. sleep b4 midnite mustve fubarred my brain coz i had the weirdest dream last nite, worthy of a whole subforum on guru's dreamcatcher section! nice day all.....

Had a gas leak. Where I live we're having all new gas pipes replaced. The paddys chopped though one yesterday morning. Which meant that I had to take a day off of work sitting at home with no Electric and no gas till about 4.30

Morning all. I can sympathise with mixin as its pimply sissing down ere. Bollocks. Bloody arses doing my rota at work fucked up, so apparently i was supposed to have the day off today. I stayed in work anyway and now i have my own desk in the office next door. At least im not wet :-D Kev, reason im using dvd 2 avi is cos you can convert avi to pretty much anything, and mp4 is avi based. Anyway....to the workmobile........

Arf - i dlded dvd2svcd the other day, but the link on the site to the ASPI drivers didnt work and the help file says it takes bout 12hours, so i gave up with that and tried EazyVCD instead, just burning my first attempt to CD now to see what it's like.
Andy - EazyVCD does it straight to an MPEG in bout 5or6hours mate, so should be easy 'nuff to convert an MPEG to MP4?
Eamonn&Mixin - how many arses?
Mark - gutted bout the gas leak mate, at least u had ur P800 and T610 to keep u occupied tho! If u'd dlded SMSPlus to ur P800 u'd couldve played Sonic all day!
edit: just burnt disc1 of my first VCD, and it plays fine, and the quality is good, probably about pre-recorded VHS quality, with no fast-forward problems like i've heard u get from some programs. Now all i need is a DVD-player in my room or my PS2 converted to play VCDs

kev - DVD2SVCD took 12 hrs to rip erin brokenbitch with julia roberts. It broke it into 5 chunks for recording to a cd. The sound disappears during each chunk. just popping to my local mr k store for eazyvcd and i will give it a go.
