My operator (Comviq) offers that too here in Sweden, and I don't pay anything for that :-)

I bought it a few years ago when it only cost £15 and it was a permanent offer so i get 5 free txts a day forever.

Stephen: Aren't you going to lose that when orange introduce the new tariffs?

Posted by Stephen
When they changed it to an annual 20quid charge they told me id still have mine forever evn tho evry1 else now has to pay each year. They tried to cut it back to 3 a day but got so many complaints that they made it 5 agen. I dnt no about tariff changes tho. When are they makin the changes and where can i find details? Cheers :-)

even though you pay £19.99 a year now its still a good offer as it is equivelent to 1850 texts a year, thats £185 worth!, or £222 worth being as texts will soon be 12p a time. also you get that £5 talk time

Here if u add up the sum i was telling u about u get nuthin extra as if u pay normal $ 4 the sms u write.no advantage just a sum as an extra monthly charge.

yeah the new textsaver thing is £20 a year, as for the previous owners of it (back then called 'orange outhere') like me, then we don't have to pay a yearly sub for it

Posted by davo87
all im tryin to say is that its still a good money saving offer

I bought the text saver when it was a one off thing. Then I was told by a Customer Service guy that because of the current traiff changes, next year or something like that, that they would credit £5 to my account and I would have to rebuy the Out Here package (the 5txt / day) despite a few months being reassured that I wouldnt have to...! but it is still a Grrr8 offer non the less.. is still £168 worth!!

That deal is pretty much the way I use my phone anyway so WOHO... although Orange have finally got the GPRS working for the P800 so I guess the credit will be eaten £4 at a time fairly quickly lol...

This message was posted from a P800

How on earth did you find that out

I have since found that at point of sale some orange phones are set to the "9" number & some to the "3" last digit, so orange have to set each of those message centers to let 5 go through each day for free, but when you change the digits it thinks its the first text of the day again, its great isnt it, it seems that it would be hard for orange to do anything about it, also i cant see that it would show up at their end.
