Hi,
I represent exoSyphen Studios (http://www.exosyphen.ro).
Recently I have decided to start developing software for mobile phones.
I got a Sony Ericsson T300 and downloaded the latest Mophun SDK to start development.
I would like to ask you what kind of software and games you would like to have on your Sony Ericsson.
I am looking out for some great ideeas prior to starting development.

Isn't there a problem to be able to run these apps or whatever you are developing, on everyones phones? Because some other person had made calendar, and have to ask the Mophun-team to make it possible to run on his phone, so it's locked to the IMEI-code :-(

Hi,
Indeed, prior to releasing any software, the mophun team has to accept it.
And offcourse it is locked to your phone's IMEI code to avoid software piracy.
In order to run the software on your phone, you will have to get a "signed" copy to run on your phone (based on your IMEI)

Pong was the first arcade game (correct if wrong) made by atari. Search on google or something. Very simple game

As for the chess game ... i can make a 2 player chess game over Blutooth / InfraRed / SMS.
As for single player against the phone ... i don'y know if there is enough CPU Power to handle the AI algorithms for a chess game.

Yeah sure. It would be great if the app had a task list for each day ofcourse alarms to everything. Maybe something so you can add a picture from your phone gallery to a task or something else planned...?
I'm just thinking now..........but it would be really nice if it could be done though.

One thing about mophun appz: i know that first u have to send it to mophun, so they can approve it. But does it have to be locked to specific IMEI? Its smart for programs u have to pay for, but unnecesary if they're free. How come originall SE games work without any problem on any mophun device?

Pong is almost finished and it will be free.
I love the quick respone you gave me.
Sorry for not beeing able to reply to everyone who sent me an email, but I have saved your emails and will get back to each one of you as soon as we release something.
I want your oppinion on something.
For example if I sell something for a T300 for $5 ... would it worth it say, you can buy 5 copies for $15 and share with your friends.
One person pays for 5 copies ... and sends the IMEI of his friends ... so this way people can buy a lot easier and cheaper.
What would you think of a video player for the T300?
As far as I did some research ... i could store and play arround 15 minutes of video on the phone.
Downside : i don`t think there will be any sound

My two cents: 1. Video streaming would really do it 4 me. Get web cam in real time even with slow refresh rate and I'll buy! 2. Other ways 2 use mophun 4 apps besides games.

A small request for you.
I would need a 2-3 minutes video clip in good quality (divx) to use for testing purposes.
Any home made good quality video will be fine, with great colors and some action.
I can't just download something off the web that is copyrighted.
This is your chance to get your home video as the official trailer for the phone.
In a first step I plan to release a basic player, then work on compression to put as much video as I can inside the phone.

I am afraid I have to wait for the game to get certified by Synergenix.
This is the biggest crap I have ever seen in my life.
You can't even betatest a game, if you have to wait a season each time you plan to release anything, until they give you a damn certificate.
I think they are pushing towards the ideea of no free software, only commercial software.
And offcourse they handle sales and get a percentage of the money.
How nice is this for developers. Imagine having your own slice out each copy sold for SE phone.
Good job Synergenix ... keep it up ... maybe you will overcome Microsoft one day (at least Microsoft lets me develop free software).
