I just ordered Monsters Inc DVD on www.play.com. The Norwegian news-site nettavisen.no tested a lot of different netshops, and play.com was the best place to buy DVD's! Now I'm just waiting for my Monsters Inc Special Edition DVD! It will be released in Region 1 DVD the 17th of September 2002... So I have to wait some time But it's definetly worth it Don't know when it will be released on Region 2 disk, but maybe till Christmas 2002? I'm happy that I own a multiregional DVD-player

Any other good places to buy DVD's? I really recommend www.play.com, ordered there before, and always get my products on time!

Come on guys! You are doing something else than just playing with your phones I hope? :-)

Okay... Seems like you guys love your phones a lot... :-) I give up, DVD is not your favourite topic...

I've used Play and also another site i've lost the address of who speciallise in importing DVDs to the UK from US.

I also buy them every time i go to the States.

I agree its great having multi region players, although i was a bit nervous flashing my DVD drive in my laptop

I normaly download my films though FTP servers.

Either VCD's or Divex

I do that sometimes too, but that is not the same as a \"legal\" DVD... Just like mp3 vs audioCD, I like to have the original CD than a CD with mp3s... Do you understand what I am trying to say?

How much did you get your DVD Johanch?

Do you mean the Monsters Inc Special Edition DVD? The one the will be released the 17th of September? I got it for 16.99£ incl.delivery. About 26 euros. Play.com only deliveres to Europe I think... Not sure. You can check out for yourself at www.play.com.

You mean "I will go and buy it" I hope =) If I like a film after downloading it, I wouldn't go and but it...

I use www.swedisc.com
It is from the states so they get the
Region 1's in quite fast and the prices are not so bad. I order them to Stockholm and get them in a few days and I have not had any trouble with customs.

Thanks for the tip! It is pretty good, but I still prefer play.com, think it got a bigger selection.

What FTP servers do you use? I normally use Kazaa. Got loads of films on my hard disk and got American Pie 2 months before it was officially released. had a big American Pie 2 party lol

@Johanch

I'm used to order my DVD at http://www.digitaleyes.net/

If you don't care about the Region 1 DVD, I think they are much cheaper...!

For example, the soon to come Harry Potter cost by "play.com" £ 16.- and cost by "digitaleyes" $ 16.- , which makes a huge difference...

Checked digitaleyes.net and they are good. But I think they have a smaller selection than eg. Play.com .

@johanch...why not try amazon.com. Lots of selections there. Or if you located here in the Philippines, I can recommend you to someone who sells.

You could try using www.dvdpricecheck.co.uk, its a price comparisson web site aimed at the UK market. It allows you to search for DVD in all or a choice of regions and returns a list ordered by price (including delivery).

In some cases I expect that delivery will be charged at a different rate if the delivery isnt to the UK, but in others you may find that delivery is the same regardless of European destination.

Seems that sites in the US, Canada and Australia return the cheapest prices in most cases.

www.deepdiscountdvd.com is a pretty good site.
