i have to say that the colors are nice and the apps are functional. but what i dont like about is its size(looks like a giant t68) and short batt life.

Posted by Jezzaj
l found the SPV menus really slow the cameras terrible nice screen nice apps but l heard that any new apps must be okayed by orange and that would put me right of l went for the P800 or you could go for the new Siemens it looks funky

Posted by tom_riddle
i find the fone hard to use.

Posted by lethal_cassanova
is it really that bad??? the spv fone??? i have t68i....and im planning to upgrade my fone to spv.... is it a bad idea??? thanks for the post guys........

Posted by tr1xt3r
sori cudnt reply 2 ur PM. my opinion s keep ur t68i. d SPV isnt worth ts cost. it doesnt even have an MMC to go into ts slot. id take a panasonic gd88 or a P800 ΓΌ

Qtek will start to sell a new \"Smartphone\" mid May here in Sweden! It's called the 7070 and looks to be the same as the \"SPV\" but without the Orange logo. Maybee it has got newer/better software!? Take a look @ www.qtek.nu /paro

I got the phone because it's free. Gave it to my wife.

It's the best smartphone... for playing PacMan

Seriously, i'm disappointed that many Pocket PC apps doesn't work (i know, marketing) you have to buy the smartphone versions.

Our unit's action key is randomly working, i demanded a replacement.

I'll second the super slooooooooooow still camera and video recorder. The MCA-25 on a T68 is much faster, a lot clearer too.

No free cradle, no free memory.

i agree with sir arnoldc the camera is soooooo slow compared to other phones with camera...yet i dont really need the camera cause my wife already has a 7250 (unfortunately the infra red is not compatible) anyway she gets to save all the images that we both like... i really got the phone because of its mp3 capability and video. to think that you can watch full movies with it (if you have a 512MB SD card). and limited apps you can download from the net and install mostly trial versions. i was hoping to get win ce apps or pocket pc but i think some wont work...pda features are not that good also...i hope micorsoft is working on a better OS for this next year

Posted by mark.spiro old
its all rubbish. it hass mmc/sd, the camera is bad but takes high quality photos, it comes with cradel and memory and the menues are fast. be careful to do the sw update though

Posted by Jowi
hard to use

Posted by bonito99
Looks 'cute'. but like what arnoldc said, it's a watered down pocket pc without the touch screen. i hope it has after sales support in the philippines since it seems to be fragile.

@Lethal- for its price, pwede ng pamalit sa t68. keypad arrangement- parang t68 din. it has an expansion-memory card good for the mp3 and video. may kabagalan n conti ang cam, pero di built in so mas ok sa kin. i dont need a cam anyway. the color screen is great, parang naiisip ko na ang itsura ng screen ng t610. on the hard to use issue, well if ur a nokian then u will also find a hard time. for the price, a phone that supports html, bigger memory, bigger-brighter screen_ pwede na! wala na lang tech sup

Posted by ynohtna
From smart's CS,the official service point is Brightpoint phils.

Posted by lethal_cassanova
thanks dude............ probably i will buy it na lang then swap it with the new fone of s.e.hehehhe thanks again

Posted by slyfox1
BUY THE FONE!!! BAT GIVES ME A GOOD 2 DAYS USE, THATS BETTER THAN OTHER FONES, 7250IR NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THE SPV? THE PROBLEM THERE IS THE 7250 NOT THE SPV, IT IS VERY EASY TO USE...ON TOP OF THAT JUST GO TO HANDANGO.COM FOR OTHER APS. VIDEO IS KINDA SLOW BUT SMART HAS SOLUTION TO THAT PROB I HEARD, CONTACT MO NA LANG SMART ROCKWELL. OR PODIUM

Physicaly, the phne is quite ugly bcoz of its huge size and disgusting shape. It is heavy also. Then, many people who tried it that i knw complain that it hang most of the time.I am not saying dis to scare people to buy it,the decision, still dpends on da eye of da buyer.Gud luck.

ive tried that settings many times but cant open any sites, not even esato, i was able to open the smart portal though but only once, does it work only on globe postpaid? got only prepaid. tnx.

Posted by lankydwarf
I kept my SPV for 14 days then sent it back, what a piece of shit, battery life was really bad, phone was too big, too heavy and way too ugly and it crashed way too often

Now I have the SE P800 and what a difference I was allways a Nokia and Pocket PC man before but I have got rid of them now as the P800 really rocks and does everything that the Nokia's and PPC do and more

Posted by Lopio
my spv has the latest version, never hangs, downloaded some utility and now its fast. color is sooo nice compare to p800, now i love them both. and i got the spv free from my old smart gold.

Posted by Lopio
@isaac hows ur SPVx? were u able to configure globe gprs?

Posted by flaminglips
@* wc is better d spv smart amazng phne or d 3650... May nkkswap sa akin ng spv sa mga nbasa ko m havn a 2nd tot.. What do u thnk guys...Salamat

Posted by Super G
Well I tried the Orange SPV...

And you get the same bad feeling when you switch on/off the phone like when you do that on your PC. It takes aaaaageeeeeesssss. And when it's finally switched on (1-2 minutes), it still has to find the network... When you switch it off it's the same story again. Sorry, but MS SmartPhone is trully not what I want of a mobile phone! Of course you might ask how often do you switch on/off your phone. Often enough for this to annoy me If MS want to succeed in this business, they have to make something much better than this. Their OS is slow.

I love my series 60, it's fast and quickly responsive all but the SPV. SE UIQ is also in the same level. Long live Symbian

Posted by Lopio
@Super G i agree with u, its slow in turning on and off, but for me its ok cause i turn on once in the morning and turn off once in the evening, other than i like spv now, its getting faster opening the menu, maybe microsoft can improve thru future upgrade, my only complain now is that i cant run gprs using my other simcard from another network.

Posted by Bobbyd
Hi guys you boys know of any decent uk nokia forums I know this site is for SE users just picking your brains.

Cheers

Posted by Lopio
i actually timed turning on and off my SPVx, 58 seconds turning on and ready and about 20 seconds shutting it down. i have version 3.0 build 13037, radio version 1.29.00, operator: 1.3.7.8, manufacturer: 1.3.7.8, microsoft: 3.0.13037.0

Posted by lethal_cassanova

Posted by dripple66
