i just felt sooo sad when jean grey died. with all thier powers, no one was able to help jean grey. proffesor X was in the plane and he could have helped her. well, just my point of view.

Well as her parting words at the end...\"evolution\".She too im sure wud evolve in x3 as the phoenix(more powerful).The effects were great compared to x1.Wolvie,storm,jean grey,prof x and surprisingly nightcrawler all taking the limelight!

I've always felt that the actress playing jean gray was miscast. She looks way too old and ugly. My favorite x-man has always been cyclops but his movie version isn't handled too well. Haven't seen x2 but don't mind the spoilers in this thread. Still looking forward to seeing it.

Well if you guys didn't notice in the end when they showed the lake, in the water was was a dim image of the phoenix. So she will be back, you can bet on it. So I take it you guys got to screen the movie too?

Well I used to work in the mall so I got friends that let me in all the time. I watch all the good movies before they come out, at least when I fell like it

Obviously, Jean could not die there and then because it would spoil its anchor-plot to the comic-book. Xavier could not help her because he got drained from the event before it (psyche exercises like that would crush anyone). And the second to the last scene when Xavier looked out the window and said everything might just be alright and the voice-over at the end just gave away that Jean lives.

i saw X2 today. well casted movie except for cyclops. i agree he does look gay. wolvies the best. especially they show him stabbing people. although hated the fact that they made prof. X less powerful. cyclops and jean greys romance chemistry look fake compared to wolverine and jean greys chemistry. it looked like jean grey was 5yrs. older than cyclops. they also gave a hint of X3. looking forward for more of wolverines past, gambit, colossus, phoenix and iceman in action on X3

Well, all in all a good movie. Well worth seeing. As other have said great fx. And x3 will come as it is implied in the end. Cyclops is not that bad but he doesnt get a chance as his part is to small and doesnt leave much room to act on. However given the space i think hell grow into the role. And i think he looks like mamas boy trying hard to look like a bad ass and fails, pathetic.

Jean grey has to die but soon be ressurected as the phoenix, mybe on xmen3 (possible). Yeah, at the end of the film u could see an image of the phoenix, so it wud b posible jean grey wil cum bak, alive, ths time in mighty phoenix. It was the \"evolution\" she was stated. But XMEN2 was GREAT!

jean had to die to become the phoenix then i think the story would progress to the dark phoenix storyline. this will happen if they follow the comic book. but x3 to follow the dark phoenix storyline is really something to look forward to.

no suprise about jean gray dying after all she died in the comic universe. expect her back in x3, just like gandalf. i think the beast will show up as well since hank mccoy was shown in a tv interview in x2.

they tried to help jean but she is preventing them and that fire in her eyes as well as her body at the end is already a sign of her becoming a pheonix afterwards. Prof X knows it coz he smiled and learned jean gray evolved into a more powerful character.

Well, if my memory serves me ryt, this was based on episode written on 1980. People at that time were shockd due 2 brutal scenes & 2 much violence they see. Remembr guys, only year 1980, they are not yet a generation X people. This was reprinted 2day. Front cover reads... God Loves, Man Kills.
