i dont now what agreement your provider has.
the providers in sweden dont have any roaming deals with gprs in other counties.
but wap with gsm might work.. i dont now,..

I'm guessing but I would say that GPRS will not be supported but GSM might be.
Not much help I know but the only real way of finding out is to go to Russia!

I am almost sure it will. Provided your phone supports GSM 900/1800.Get in touch with me on sp@ultranet.ru if you want details. Good luck and welcome to Russia.

It will work only if ur provider has an roaming+gprs agreement with any russian operator.then u can register on that network but i think u have to pay double beeing very expensive.check ur operator website or call them.technically its possible

this is one of the reasons i got the T300 because i can use it over in moscow. cingular said it will work. my last trip i brought my nokia 3395 and i turned on my phone... the sim tried to find service, then said some error message about it not working. i tried to make a call even, and that didnt work either
i know roaming is expensive so i might just buy a sim card and plug it in while im there

One Russian operator HAS got a GPRS roaming agreement with US GSM network. Speaking about roaming charges - when TRYING to call from US one is charged $7 straight away upon pressing \"send\" :-(

Here's another page with GPRS setup information for various countries. The site also includes some good GPRS scripts for Macintosh users:
