where does it say in the rules no firmware sites? does fw count as illegal software?

That kind of FW is NOT supported by
Legal FW/SW can only be obtained throug a SP.
There has been a lot of these upgrading sites with incomplete SW causing phones to crash completly. The owner of the phone will lose all
warranty an end up with a very expensive repairjob.
When a new topic is started, the author will see this:
"Esato does not endorse tampering with the phone yourself. These methods of upgrading are unsupported by both SonyEricsson and Esato and they will void the phone's warranty."
We just can't risk being held responsible
