different from my post just below! new functionality we need testing help with:

send picture cards to wap phones from a desktop browser: http://www.gridbloc.com/wap

or on a wap phone (or emulator)go "www.gridbloc.com/" then click the "Greetings" link.

the wap device will have to allow clickable links in SMS.

FREE for now, as we are still testing, and no spam or data harvesting (http://www.gridbloc.com/corporate/privacy.html) please post any feedback, good or bad. or send direct to mario at gridbloc dot com thanks! m

Loved it! One thing thou, sms a link this way... I dont know... I feel it all should end with the sms and not as now when u have to link up to get it. People can grow tired of the slow access. But anyway, great site. Easy to work.

I agree I like it too, but the receipiant shouldn't be required to connect via wap to see the card. That also brings up the issue of how to handle the cards for those that don't even have wap on their phone. I'm assuming you don't want to leave them out and miss out on that potential revenue right?

good comments!

the "we wish" answer is for MMS (when easy and inter-carrier-operable) at the low cost/config of sms... or wap push.. but both of those havent achieved the huge penetration of wap devices. rich-devices get the attention, but the hundred million wap devices still work. (plus new devices like the SE t610 etc do a great job of it!)

we ve been looking and found VERY few carriers globally supporting wap push.

we dont want to leave folks out, sometimes the effort of that last 10% is another 90%! we see wap as a narrow but deeeeeep niche with somelife left in it (and still support rich-media content all over gridbloc.com)

thanks
m

do we get charged for this?

thanks,

no charge from us, tho gprs/sms/data carrier charges are incurred.

does anyone know if "wap push" works on a N3510i?
or a samsung A800?

I realize you all aren't charging NOW, but I would guess at some point it would be come apay type service. At least to send the cards.
