Data Cable - Esato archive

I dont know why no one is responding. I thought someone could help me on this. I bought a serial data cable for my ericsson t300 and am having trouble getting it connected. I dont know which software to download, and i downloaded sendfile, but it does not detect my phone, even though i also downloaded mobile phone monitor. I was also told that the t300 cannot be backed up with a PC and cannot recieve polyphonic ringtones via the cable. Is this true? please help!!!
