don't even bother looking at the mca-10 or mca-15 unless you have a monochrome phone
Posted by Ronplata
OK, anyone else?
Anyone home?
Posted by jellyellie
depends if you need the effects and zoom of the mca-25
Posted by Darcher
But what the resolution of mca-25 and what the fx does it have? Thanks
Posted by sapibobo
If you need more memory to store pics, choose mca 20
Posted by Ronplata
thanks , anyone else?
please

I've got mca 20 it's ok for a phone camera, nothing more, good pictures in daylight within 1.5m. If you need something better you can always get proper digital camera ;-), that new sony with bluetooth isn't bad for example
Posted by DragonEye
The mca-25 saves pictures faster and seems to take better indoor shots.
Posted by jellyellie
my mca-25 is perfect for both indoor and outdoor shots

hey, how to use the zoon feature? i got the mca25 + t68i with R7A firmware.
Posted by punkserb
is there such thing as an mca-15? i never heard of it, just 10 and 20 and 25. can anyone clarify?
Posted by insyder
U CAN USE THE ZOOM AND EFFECTS OF THE MCA 25 WITH THE T68M/I WITH THE R7 SOFTWARES. NO DOUBT THE MCA25 IS BETTER. IT HAS FASTER SAVING TIMES AND YOU CAN GET THE SAME MEMORY IF U LOWER THE REZ.
Posted by doctabako
Get the MCA25 its only drawback is that it's design doesn't go well with the t68i since it was obviously made for the t300. To use zoom effect push joystick to the right to zoom in and to the left to zoom out. Its effects aren't really that great but nice to have. In case you're curious they consists of different 'frame' options surrounding the image. As for resolution it suits my needs since its better than your average camera and looks good once you transfer them to your palm or pc.

been using mca-25 for a couple of days now, its ok under good light condition.
Posted by Ronplata
were do I get the R7 software?

How do you know which s/w ver you have?
Cheers.

...been using the 25 with T68i for a few days... not too bad, can't expect too much from a phone-camera... highest resolution is 640 x 480 (VGA)... choice of 4 settings.
guess what.. sent a copy of a picture to a friend of mine and the picture looked much better on his nokia 6100... higher resolution compared to the 68i...

640x480 is gr8 4 camphone!ive seen some pics last nite on the net taken with such a cam and looked much better than i expected!of course u can transfer it on the pc thru cable right?i dont use mms its a waste of money.whats the price of mc25?

I attended the Esato-gathering in Oslo yeaterday and SE confirmed that there are going to be a new version of the MCA-25 with more styles to choose from. But that was the only difference. For a compartion between the different cameras look here: http://opheim.com/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=5
Posted by volvoman
First you are very lucky to be able to attend the said gathering. I peronaly think the MCA-20 and MCA-25 were the best pictures and I am glad not to own a Siemens S55 as those pictures are very bad compaired to the others.
Posted by derixc
hey, volvoman where do you think i can get the r7 software for my t68i? and how can i do that?
thanks
Posted by volvoman
From a SE service centre that as far as I am awre is the only place you can get it from if anyone else knows better tell us
Posted by juming
You don't need R7A, since R6A012 also optimized to MCA-25.

Anyone know where to get a flashing cable in sweden?

My T68i (rev 3 firmware, T-Mobile) with MCA-25 is sending pictures (via MMS) at (120, 160) although they were taken at (480, 640) or even (240, 320). Has anyone successfully sent full resolution pictures with this combination? Is rev 6 firmware required for full resolution? Thanks,

Ok, so i ask again: what's the price of an mc25?The ones u have it might bother 4 a sec 2 reply pls? 10x

I am about to buy the new camera off ebay for $53
my phone is using R5D007 SW
will everything be ok? is zoom going to work or not?
Posted by mkt
nope, u need 1 sw higher, R6A0012 at least.
Posted by DimGR
so the only problem will be the zooming functions? everything else will work fine?
Posted by bart
MCA-10,MCA-10 vieuw, MCA-20, MCA-25 thats all the cams. the MCA-25 is the best, the cam on the P800 is great 2. the T610's internal cam will be like the MCa-10vieuw(same pixels)but a bit better.
Posted by sina89
the MCA-25 is the best one

@DimGR: No zoom and no effects (frames and stuff). Rest will work. Forget the zoom, its crappy anyway. U get better results resizing pic on PC (less pixelated)
Posted by wapchimp
I have MCA-10 view - I use the phone memory to store pictures cos it transfers them across aswell as saving them(5) on the camera - plus it matches grey T68 which I have aswell
Posted by Dj Boyi
@701,in the uk,mca-20=£110(ish) and mca-25=£76 from the SE-UK website. Strange how the 25 is cheaper! I have the 25 and zoom is'nt that bad at full zoom(half zoom is ok).And they look good on a PC.BTW,if a camera had a add-on phone on it wud u be moaning about the phone? :-Dlol !

You can store them in the cam!.........after you've taken the pics! ;-)
Posted by vwbeetle
the mca25 is cheaper faster and has zoom and effects
Posted by gaix
the MCA-25 is fine... but zoom functions are not possible when used with the T68i.... zooming is possible with the T310.
Posted by nocturnalchipmunk
forget the built-in camera thing. check out the Sony DSC-U20. it's smaller than the t68i and it's much cooler to carry in your pocket.
Posted by fu|at^t68
gaix,
zooming with MCA-25 is possible with T68i if u had firmware greater than R6A

ok guys, I am new to this cam thing and I certainly have no clue what my sw is.
I am looking at the sw thingie, and the first thing I see for SW Info is R28025. Does that mean I have an ancient SW? I currently reside in San Diego, where can I go about to have it updated?
Thanks!
[edit]
oh yeah, I just remembered something... assuming that I can get my phone flashed, will the process of flashing lock my phone? it is currently unlocked and I don't want it to be stupidly locked.

I think the mca-25 beats them all, including p800
Posted by Fahed_2000
might be, but i guess that the P800 will kiss as after the upgrade, also i want to point out that the settings on the P800 where prob not set

Thanks fu|at^t68...
Hey, my T68i zooms with the MCA-25!. Trusted the manuals... ha.
Heh heh.....
Posted by wapchimp
