Yup I have the same phone, the same provider, and the same problem
There're already a couple of threads talking about this problem
And someone said that maybe T-Mobile is blocking their users from downloading backgrounds but no idea why

Which dataplan you signed up for? How you were able to browse to wap.esato.com at all if you did not have data plan originally?
I'm still seeing emty boxes on my T68i, I contacted TMobile as well did not get reply so far.

I had to do an awfull workaround. Which is download file to local disk. Upload it to http://www.sonyericsson.com/fun/, change to wallpaper, login to that site via WAP, download that image. What am I surprised at is that I'm able to download that message from sonyericsson website but not from esato. Which makes me think that it might have something to do with esato website rather then with phone and service provider.

We need to find a way to resolve this .. Has anyone tried asking T-Mobile about it? I probably going to ask them about it once I have some more free time

I already talked to them. They said that there is no limits on gateway and they are not going to deep into 1 site perfomance issues.
Again, I was successfull downloding exactly the same image from sony website but failed from esato. I'm still somehow thinks that it might be related to esato website.

noted the same problem a couple weeks ago and was surprised. same thing today. used to work. i use funny phone (palm software) to send esato images to my phone instead.

Bearing in mind that I can not pull any images even in my IE right now from esato, I woudl not be surprised that esato has issues.

i used to have the same problem with my phone. but last sunday i was able to view the pictures with my phone and was able to download them too. i was surprised! i had given up hope that i would be able to view and download the images with my phone but a miracle happened!

I never had problems with my T68i and I don't have any now with my P800. Just make sure your settings are right and all is well.

Also, do any pictures show up at all in the wap browser? Like does the Esato graphic appear on the wap home page? What about other sites with graphics?

@T68iFan, i am using a T-Mobile branded T68i but i have no idea which software i have running. how can i find out? yes pictures show up in my phone's wap browser. i can see all the wallpapers available for download in the sony ericsson wap site. the esato graphic also appears on my phone.

@T68iFan ... My current software is R3E002 and I am definitely thinking of upgrading it .. Oh and I have a T68i w/ T-Mobile .. When I had the problem, the only picture that won't show up is the logo, that's why I can't download the logo and it was only w/ Esato (I can download logo at SE)

The problem is with tmobile uses a gateway and reduces the size of a picture you can download from a wap site. The limit is 2KB, very small. A way around this is to use sony ericsson's fun site (read a few posts before this) and before you upload your pictures, resize them in MS Word and then save the picture using a screen capture program. Save the image as a jpeg and reduce the quality of it to 30%. The reduced quality doesn't impact the way the pictures look on the phone. I have done this 1000000000000 or so times, it works, trust me. reply if you have any questions.

@t68iBabe ... yeah just call SE at 1-877-234-3249 .. I just called earlier today and they said they have 2 options:
1. For $35.50 they'll send you an email on the procedure and you send your phone by yourself
2. For $42.50 they'll send you the package in which you can send your phone to them
I think there're already a couple of threads about upgrading .. my only concern is what's the difference between the older firmware and the newer firmware .. I just don't think it's worthed to spend $35-45 for a change that's not significant

@gatorsquid, I was hoping that they'd have something like an in-store upgrade or something like it. I'm afraid of sending in my phone. Anything could go wrong ranging from my phone getting lost in the mail to them sending me another phone by mistake. Scary.

or there's a significant change in the firmware (monophonic becomes polyphonic? dream on .. LOL)
