message from hotline "Surf the waves of the new Sun Wap Site!Get more info on Sun Products via WAP. Just go to the wap services of your mobile and click home." I think Suncellular WAP is up and now in full swing.....bad news.... no more free wap browsing..... I already tried using my prepaid plan and used up around 19.03 kB. I had P34 left on my load and when I check my load around P30.10 left. How about your experience guys?

Posted by wowowboy69
@steele
my WAP apn and MINTERNET apn are both working fine. as what xplizit said sun has lanuched a new wap site. maybe sun has allowed wap apn for wap browsing coz i use my WAP apn for wap browsing and MINTERNET for AgileMessenger. MMS works also in a seperate way.

@Toybatz
Just browse through this thread. I posted the configuration for k700i phones.

@wow
I only use the APN minternet because that the only APN that works for internet through my ipaq. Wap is too slow on my t68i.

@STEELE

BRO NKITA KO NA YUNG CONFIGURATION NA POST MO KASO KULANG WALANG IP ADDRESSES YUNG MGA SETTINGS MO... POST MO ULIT THANKS

@toybatz -- Wala talagang I.P. address kapag minternet ang apn. This is because proxy is not to be used. Tama ang ipinost ni steele.

hello guys.. good am..
hmmm... its kinda weird.. i was using my palm tungsten c yesterday, and i was able to browse under Sun cellular settings without any costs at all. I keyed-in the sun's IP address on the Gateway IP address and that's it.
BUT... when i am using my another phone (Nokia 6100), aside from my SE s700i, it has a charged, and i am also using the same settings. Do you think it has something to do with the Gateway IP address that the Palm has and nokia, SE and other phones don't have? Help.. Thanks..

Posted by steele
What IP address did you use?

Posted by xerx

hohonga pa share naman yang ip address na yan harharharharharharhar

Posted by aw3s0me_dude69
... i used the same IP address for sun wap gprs, the 202.138.159.078, and worked both on the palm and nokia phone. BUT, like what i have said, i put the IP add on the gateway IP address, and sun didnot charge me anything. However, when i tried using the gprs on my nokia phone and SE, sun charged me.

@dude
Just try to enjoy the weirdness for the meantime

Posted by aw3s0me_dude69
huh....
cheers!!
anyone working in a call center here?!

-----------> ala lang.. papampam lang mga pips!!!

@dude
d ba wifi yang tungsten c? baka wifi connection mo instead of sun gprs?
Sa building namin may convergys

Posted by aw3s0me_dude69
hmmm.. yeah it has a wifi but i am not using it. And i could only use wifi connection in seattles or starbucks (any place with a wifi spot). I am from bulacan and i dont think it has a wifi connection there. (goodluck for me!!! hehehe). Really, it is a gprs connection.

FYI, 10 cents per kb ang sun wap surfing

Posted by aw3s0me_dude69
i am aware of it.. i am just sharing the weirdo going on in my palm...
... GOOD AM PIPZ..........

Posted by xerx

mura pala ang sarfing kung gaynon harharharharharharharharhar

Posted by aw3s0me_dude69

Posted by xplizit_76
according to the sun csr its 0.10cents/kB, it could be the charging for postpaid plan but for prepaid plan...it's not. my suggestion is you guys clear first your gprs counter before using the wap service and try to monitor your gprs usage and your load..... i'ved check my prepaid usage... sun's charging is around 0.14 ~ 0.17 cents per kB. I don't know about post paid plans 'coz i dont want to try with my post paid plan.... i just use my prepaid account if i want to browse or visit wapsites. it could also be true what others say that the 0.10 cents/kB charging is applicable if your browsing the sun wapsite but visiting other wapsites, the charging could be as high as 0.15~0.18 cents/ kB.

can we call sun's attention to provide unlimited gprs usage for P300 a month...that would be cool,right? if they're the first to provide unlimited call and text (24/7)...this time.... suncellular would still be the first in providing unlimited gprs here in Pinas.....

lets all start calling the HOTLINE (200) now for our request.

Goodluck!!!

Posted by aw3s0me_dude69
hey.. thats a nice idea huh... geeezzz... hmmm... ill gonna call sun CSR later.. peace!!

if what you mean is typing/sending/receiving/replying to sms from your ipaq and taking calls, pwede yan. sa lumang ipaq nga pwede eh. its just a matter of installing the right sw.

Posted by steele
@dude
vwbeetle is right. You can install a dialer software and SimpleSMS software to send and receive sms. And of course you can connect to the internet and browse your favorite esato site through your bt phone using your sun sim

Posted by aw3s0me_dude69
installing the right software? so it means you need to paired all the time your BT phone and the ipaq to receive calls and sms and also reply and make calls? Is that right? I am planning to buy the HP rz1700

Posted by steele
Off topic ka na dude! Yeah it has to be paired and connected all the time.

That ipaq doesn't have any BT.- where you can use your bluetooth enabled phone with your sun sim (o ayan ha, may word na sun kaya hinde ako off topic)

Anyone here experiencing free gprs using sun? I checked my account after surfing there wasnt any changes... been like this for three days. Or maybe their system is slow in updating in their subscribers account?

Posted by rickydel
@* ako no gprs signal tagal magrefresh ng suntech

Posted by ikabod
Weird, mines fine in terms of connecting thru wap.

Posted by aw3s0me_dude69
hey.. good am.. im here again at work.. anyways, hmm... yeah sometimes you could connect using sun gprs with out any charges at all.. but u might not know, bawian ka ng charge the next time you load again.. peace!!

@withered
You cannot access yahoo using pop mail if your yahoo is still free. You have to pay to use their pop3.

@*Maintenance check on Sun System. Can't call or text. Can't even receive calls and text. Hopefully everything will be normal around 3pm today.

SUN's GPRS does not charge us ata. Even their MMS

Posted by steele
@t68mms
Are you on prepaid mate?

Posted by T68 MMS
@steele
I'm Plan 350

Posted by steele
@t68mms
Intermitent charging. Probably due to their maintenance activity. Just hope they won't reflect it on the next bill But it should be ok if they would.

Posted by T68 MMS
it's better to risk if one is prepaid.
