Main problem is that, i can't browse the internet from my PocketPC using bluetooth dial up through my t68i. I have paired my both already. I have the APN minternet on my t68i already and follow Sun Cellular instructions on their site. Nag-connect naman yung pocketpc with the phone using dialup but laging page not found. I'm sure people here have tried browsing through their pocketpcs using a bluetooth phone. Hope you can help. Thanks.

Bro same here. Until now, "NO ACCESS" pa den yung phone ko. But my officemate's phone with Sun sim is doing ok naman. Someone must have spilled coffee into the main servers again.lol
Posted by vwbeetle
@steele: have you tried your ipaq/t68i combo with other networks? all the esato regulars used their t68i phones as modems for their pc/ppc to connect to the internet via globe before, using cables/infra/bluetooth with no problems whatsoever. try to see if the problem is in your combo or if it is netwrok specific.

Anyone getting a Call from 0922-409-18-7? I know it lacks a number. This number has been bugging me and my other "sun" friends. If you try to answer the call from this number, you would hear nothing and obviously you can't call back because there is a missing number. Just thought of posting it here..

Scary... Does it ring you and your friends after you watch a "strange" VHS tape?

No i haven't tried it. But i'll do that. Globe internet will only work for postpaid plans right? Will Smart prepaid work? Right now, i connect through usb cable on our work LAN.

Guys,
Please be informed that Sun Gprs has been free for the past few weeks. But it's actually a glitch in their system. Just be careful not to abuse it. Pagnakarating sa kanila na maraming may alam nito. Your account will be tracked down and will be blocked from using their GPRS services.

@vwbeetle
I was able to connect to the Internet using my t68i sun gprs and my ipaq. Still page not found and after disconnecting, i notice that there were "200hundred something bytes sent" but no bytes received.
Posted by wowowboy69
how come my sun gprs is still deducting my load? kung sa bagay if its a glitch baka di ako apektado nung glitch na yun. sayang! hehehehehe!

I noticed nga pala lastnight till today na yung SUN GPRS na settings which was posted here, yung may predefined na DNS, is not actually working right now. i changed it to automatic assign of DNS then it worked na. parang ganyan din yung nangyayari sakin pag internet ako nung una using sun gprs. sending lang ng gma kilobytes tapos wala narerecieve. now its working fine pero may bawas na sa load ko. hehehehehe
Posted by steele
What do you mean by atuo assigned DNS address? Is that when you leave the DNS and IP address blank?
Posted by wowowboy69
no. not leave it blank. instead of assigning ang IP address for the DNS, just check the option which is "Get DNS address automatically" or something similar to that. works on my p910i.

It isn't free with my sim card. I'm charged as usual.

@steele - malamang yan may problema yung settings mo sa t68i. using just your t68i, are you able to connect using gprs? better yet, punta ka sa EB (meron yatang nilulutong despidida) dalhin mo yan t68 at ipaq mo ayusin natin.

Now, now. Why would you want to have your account blocked?
Get a different sim to abuse the service.

Or buy as many sims and discard when it gets blocked.lol
But sooner or later there will be repercussions if we abuse this glitch the network has. Sana magkaroon ng Sun Unlimited Wap Service.
Posted by wowowboy69
why would they block your sim? its not your fault if you were able to use their GPRS without any charge. if its a glitch in their system then they should do something about it although i hope hayaan nalang nila yun hehehehehehe!

@dude
I haven't really tried connecting my pc to my phone through IR. If you have your internet settings on your k700i, the pc configuration is the one you need. I found this at the suncellular site. Haven't tested if it works. But it is for pc configuration. Let me know if it works.
On your PC
Setting up your PC to connect to your mobile phone/modem is similar to setting up your dialer when you want to connect through your landline. Using Dial-Up Networking, create a new connection. Input the following settings:
User ID blank
Password blank
Phone/Dial-Up Number *99***1# (if your internet profile is saved CID=3 on your handset, it should be *99***3#)
Dial-Up Server Type PPP
Primary DNS Server 202.138.128.28
Secondary DNS Server 202.138.128.2
--------------------------------------------------------------------
RATES
Access charge is P0.25 per kilobyte. Applicable charges shall be applied for information and content downloads.

--dude.. what were u trying to set-up by the way??
Posted by rickydel
my P900 I can't access esato and no gprs signal
Posted by aw3s0me_dude69
is it using through a sun network? does it have any charge at all? thanks..
Posted by rickydel
Yup .25/kb
Posted by steele
@dude
Yeah rickydel is right. it will be more expensive than your normal prepaid internet card. GPRS has it's advantages though.
Posted by aw3s0me_dude69
i understand.. well, thanks for the info.. by the way, is there any way wherein we could set-up free grps connection on sun network?? thanks..

There are times that it's free. Meaning even if your load is zero, you can still connect and surf. But it varies actually.
Posted by aw3s0me_dude69
so.. that does mean that even if i have an unlimited call and text, and even if i have 0 regular credit, i could sometimes still browse and connect? thanks...
Posted by steele
Yup
Posted by aw3s0me_dude69
what? are u kidding?
Posted by steele
@dude
Nope. only GPRS usage.
Posted by aw3s0me_dude69
thanks dude.... anyways, you know someone selling a 6260 or 6670 here?? thanks..
Posted by steele
@dude
No problem. you check out the market thread mobile phones and accessories on sale.

Since I maintain at least 3 Sun prepaid sims for gprs alone, I notice that sometimes, not all can access gprs at the same time though they would have gprs signals.
Posted by steele
@dude
My gprs is back. Pina-refresh ko na
@dlreyes
you're an ipaq user right?
Posting using my ipaq/t68i combo via mobile.esato.com
Posted by wowowboy69
i have one question pala. magkaiba ba ang rates ng sun wap gprs and sun gprs? kasi i noticed parang hindi 25 cents per kb ang sun wap gprs eh. yung sun gprs, after using it they did charge me for 25 cents per kb pero when i used the sun wap gprs, credits left in my sim had amounts with 80 cents or 55 cents or 35 cents etc. parang they dont charge me 25 cents per kb pag wap browsing lang. ganito din ba sa inyo? or ako lang?
Posted by dlreyes
@steele... I'm a pocketPc windowsmobile user... I've gone through 3850, 5450 and now the xda2 but the P900 is still my primary phone...
Posted by steele
@wowowee
if you're referring sun wap gprs as the APN wap and sun gprs as the APN minternet, as far as i know, one can only browse using the APN minternet. Sun wap gprs is used only for THE MALL and MMS sending.
Posted by steele
@dlreyes
i see. was a p900 user before. Might consider the imate jam2 or the hpipaq 6500 next time. l'll get couple of extra sims for my internet browsing
