kahit txt and tawag ang hirap...!@#!#@$!#!

Posted by arvinsign
yeah ryt..but since steele said that patience is virtue...im giving SUN a fair chance..

sana lang gawan nila paraan ung mga problems nila..like mag expand ng network or anything that would reverse the current situation (for the benefit of all consumers)

Posted by steele
considering all pros and cons...What we pay for CTU is TIPID comparing to others. Iets just hope they expand soon.

@arvin
Super busy daw sa SUN SHOP kaya d naka-login friend ko.

Posted by ynohtna
All your problems are technical because of the intermittent gprs service. Mine is very basic yet important but they still haven't solved it.

Sa akin nga, postpaid na nga ako, mag wa 1 year na ako by march and yet I have just received 2 monthly billings since then. One customer service guy told me that in their Head office, there is a very very long table full of returned statement of accounts. What are they doing about it???? Change courier every month????If such, they have a very poor turnover system.

Posted by kenski
Parang mas ok pa ata nung walang 24/7 pero may free wap. Grabe khit txt sun 2 sun pahirapan!

Posted by steele
@ynotha
Yes it is technical to some extent, but is also procedural. Meaning in can be solved by simply making sure that people are not sleeping on their jobs. Even Globe and Smart have their share of problems like these.

@kenski
I agree Bro especially pagpatak ng alas sais ng gabi hanggang midnight na yan. Ganun talaga e. Kaya nga globe they peak and non-peak hours to control traffic.

Posted by GOwin
basta, natututo na ako. don't leave home with just your Sun sim.

pero pagdating naman sa katipiran, lalo na sa mga walang katuturang tawag at text, Sun pa din.

Posted by steele
@Gowin

You got that right Bro

Can the network traffic in prepaid be experienced in postpaid? Im planning to switch

Posted by 619

ako naubos ung load kahit naka 24/7

nakaw dami ng reklamo a harharharharharhar

Lately, loading your Sun sim has become a risk of losing your money. Last Sunday, I bought Php300 load and converted Php250 to 24/7. 15 minutes passed and still no call card no. I called 200 and by a stroke of UNBELIEVABLE luck, somebody actually took the call and made a report about my complaint.

I guess I'm luckier than others because I got the call card no. the next day. A friend of mine saw her Php100 go down the drain.

pansin ko lang..parang medyo maluwag na ang SUN (call and text) as compared to the last days..???tama ba?

Posted by chili
@arvinsign
It varies from night to night, from hour to hour. 9 p.m. last night, I dialled for 10 minutes but no success. It could've been better 5 minutes later but I had already lost patience and gone to sleep

With 24/7, Sun took a bigger bite than they could swallow.

Posted by steele
Try nyo muna not to load your 24/7 until hinde na talaga kayo makatawag. I'm experiencing free CTU for 2 days na kahit na dapat the other day pa ako nag-load

@chili
I suggest don't buy then convert to CTU 24/7. Risky daw talaga. Just buy the regular 100 or 250 CTU cards.

Posted by chili
@steele
Yung free SMS kasi ang habol ko kaya regular load ang binibili ko. (Php300 regular load comes with 50 free SMS to other networks.)

Posted by GOwin
well [crosses fingers, knocks on wood], i have been converting the regular load to CTU and hasn't encountered anything i could consider a problem. hirap lang talaga ma-access yung system.

load conversion din ang gawa ko para may free text.

Posted by arvinsign
@ chili

yeah ryt..i remember tuloy yung globe tel when they first offered the unlimited text messaging (1998 yata), at first free then they had a rate of 160Pesos per month..so dumami ang subscribers at naclogged ang network..and i remember din agawan pa ng SIM nun...i bought my Globe SIM then for 2500 pesos (thats a lot for me then considering na 3rd year college pa lang me nun )

i think thats the same fate with SUN Cell..they offered something that is almost free..and later on, they wr overwhelmed w the massive influx of subscribers..too much for them to handle.

pede na ba i-chikkatext ang Sun?

Posted by chili
I'm hoping that all non-gprs users get tired of their Sun sims and get a Touch Mobile instead

Posted by doopey
any updates bout sun gprs?

Posted by CrackerJack
Can anybody confirm if Sun's service is getting any better? Maraming complaints pero wala bang good news?

Posted by steele
@chili
You're right about the free text from converting regular load to CTU. But the system for that is not working at times. Oh well...

Sana nga mag-shift na yung iba to Touch mobile para lumuwag ang Sun lines

Weird! I can't text or call since 1030 this morning...ok pa naman yung 24/7 ko even the prepaid inquiry is down...even hotline 200.

Me neither! Dapat maluwag ngayon dahil tanghali di ba.

Power to the people, he he!

I was able to talk to sun's CSR and he told me to ignore the situation now and wait till tomorrow as they are upgrading their system. Hope it will be better. Reminder: don't load your account today for prepaid subscribers

Posted by steele
@ricky

thanks for the info. I was able to talk to one to and she said that their advisory was that calls and texts should be ok for they are enhancing the loading system for prepaid.

Weird kasi when i inquired kung how much balance ng prepaid ko. It says...42,685,632 pesos and 71 cents. Hinde ka naman makatawag

Dapat talaga may iba kang sim aside from the sun sim e.

Posted by 619
forever upgrading their system....

Posted by steele
Ang sabi kagabi pa sila nag-aupgrade and it should been ok this 8am. Then...1pm...Then wala pa den. Anyways...

@619
Did you just get a k500i? or you just liked the logo? satisfied ka naman? Parang mas gusto ko yung style nya kaysa sa k700i e.

Posted by arvinsign
wala bang mag propromote ng touch mobile d2? baka madami maconvince..kasama na ako..

Posted by steele
unlimited call and text vs 1 peso/min on call and 1 peso/text?

Why should i want to pay more when i'm just paying 250/month and a minimum amount for other networks?

Posted by chili
Touch Mobile beats Sun in terms of network coverage, signal, and customer service. I don't know if loading and CSR response will likewise suffer from the expected increase in subscribers -- I hope an Esato member gets a TM sim and updates us.

Posted by arvinsign
im ok with a one peso/min of call be it in SUN Cell Network or Touch mobile, as long as i am warrantied that the network is as wide as SMART, and the services and innovations are as good as GlobeTel, and lastly....No clogged networks..i dnt want to hear that busy/failed netwrk tone again

besides, whats a peso for a minute of quality conversation with ur family, friends and gfs

Posted by 619
i like the k5 avatar.

if TM will be sucessful w/ their Piso per min after the 2nd mins, it will eventually clog their network and affect globe subscribers as well...

that would be P13.00 for 3 mins and piso thereafter..

hope tnt will hve their own promo... to decongest sun..

Posted by p3rsmag
di ako maka text! since last night pa!

Posted by dlreyes
There seems to be a problem with Sun during nightime through midnight... Good thing I use it during peak hours. I use it an average of 20 minutes a day to contact my business in the provinces so, sulit na din.

Again, why text if you can call. i have experienced receiving delayed text messages so it seems that if you can't call, then texting would also be delayed because of network congestion.

Posted by steele
@arvinsign

It's piso after one minute just like 619 said, and not just piso. Plus you have to convice the people you love to shift (again) to TM to enjoy the benefits. Try to compute how many minutes you use your phone and how many times you call then compare it with how much you pay using your sun sim. After which you can decide soundly if you really want to shift. Ang tendency kasi when we get disappointed is to look for an option (normally, the second best).

@p3rsmag
Network downtime ang sun prepaid. Still can't text or call. Tapos 42 million ang load ko

Check out this pic of my prepaid inquiry P42 million something.

Bro, paki-inform naman kami kung up na ang Sun service. Pinatay ko na ang Sun phone ko. Kahapon pa di gumagana eh.

I am optimistic that after the current "upgrade," their system will run much more smoothly.

Posted by riderandy
does anybody know kung anu yung mga profiles ng sun by dialing 222? kc nagpalit ako i pressed 151 after dialling 222, then bigla ako nagkaron ng 150 addtl load.. kaso i dunno kung anung profile un.. try nyo..

Posted by riderandy
onga pla.. no prob nman wit my sim.. nakakatext and call nmn ako.. wlang prob sa service skin.,

@chili
Let's just pray

@ steele

ur heartfelt advice and info taken. hehe.tnx

my SUN has to stay w me for some more time muna.

anyway..any news bout ur lady friend from SUN Network?

Posted by steele
@arvinsign

As per my friend from Sun, it is due to the upgrading that they're doing. Told her that they should have sent a text notice to all prepaid subscribers that there will be a "downtime" due to "upgrading" and calls and texts might be interrupted. What happened was they tried sneaking into the system sa madaling araw to upgrade their system. Hoping na ok na pagdating sa umaga. Talking about covering up. If they want full confidence from sunscribers, full disclosure from them is required.

Posted by chili
I'm getting out of the office now. Gonna visit a Sun shop and see if there's an angry mob

@steele - My guess is that Sun management hoped to finish the "upgrade" during non-peak hours without any announcement, in order to avoid complaints from 24/7 subscribers. Since 24/7 is time-based, any downtime may be interpreted as wasted load, and 24/7 subscribers may have a right to demand a refund. A frightening scenario for Sun....

Posted by steele
@chili

I agree. ok lang kung isang araw lang e. But 2 days you weren't able use your 24/7, i believe every affected subscriber has the right to demand for a refund. Or maybe at least extend the expiration date, if the system allows such adjustment.

Balitaan mo lang kami kung ano ang bagong excuse nila ha

Posted by chili
@steele - I really pity the Sun personnel in the shops. If management gives them a lousy excuse to pass on to the customers, they have no choice but to appear dumb and face the wrath of overworked, overstressed, underpaid subscribers who have just gone through a day of humiliation in their offices....

I'm in SM Manila now. I'll drop by the Sun shop next door later. Right now i'm in a computer shop, busily posting in the Indian thread -- go figure!!

Posted by 619
hmm... seems no problem with postpaid

steele, would u mind sharing your 42M? when can we claim it?

Posted by arvinsign
i find it strange...since around 8am today, almost..ok lahat (95%/around 40 msgs) msg sent ko both SUN and in other networks...and sa calls naman medyo ok din (outgoing and incoming)..this is despite of the systems upgrading thay they are currently doing (which i think had caused chaos to many of the subscribers)...sna lang tuloy tuloy na...

Posted by chili
Sun is ok now!!! I've been sending texts since around 9:30 p.m., pasok lahat!
