oo nga eh I must say sun cellular is at its top. innovative feats palang ok na. callcards nila flexible din! and look they are the first network in the country na magkaroon ng Unlimited service! (Smart and Globe......brace urselves!)

They may have better gprs access to sites and rates compared to the big two as of the mo, but they have very serious problems in their system right now.
E.g.
-drop calls even before the 15 min limit.
-receiving messages from unknown number (normally these messages are from your own inbox)
-you suddenly hear your own voice during phone conversation, then call ends.
-my wife called me up on my mobile and may sumagot daw na girl on the other line. But i can hear her at the other end.
Anyone else experiencing these?
Not sure though if only prepaid subs experience these problems.

disappointing yang sun na yan huh, nag text ako sa isang friend na naka sun, di daw natanggap.... grrr. patay at phone nya for a day, pero kahit na... naka unlimited yung sms settings ko.

alomost same experience here bro. I can't receive messages for half a day. Then nung afternoon, sabay sabay pumasok 30 messages in my inbox! erratic talaga.

@steele, nope. Only get disconnected before 15 minutes, but happens very rarely. Di kase nagtelebabad pag peak hours. Patay na oras pag tumatawag ako.
Di talaga ako maka-access ng GPRS! Yung settings dinownload ko pa sa SE website. Pano po ba gagawin ko? May activation text pa po ba dapat? San po kayo kumuha ng settings nyo?

the call disconnection before 15 minutes is also true, sometimes 9 minutes, sometimes 3 minutes, sometimes 2 seconds... very unreliable...

sun cellular gotta change name to "suck" cellular. i cant connect when making an urgent calls... damn!!! palaging network busy... mapupudpud muna kamay ko bago maka tawag... paano yan kung emergency?

that's why everyone should have a sim of another network to make important/urgent calls. Sun is for tsika calls during day time. Even one of the owners of Suncellular is a Smart subscriber.

what happened to steele also happened to me and my male friend..like a crossline or whatever ..my friend called me up from Quezon City, my phone rang registering his number but a woman answered asking from someone else's name. She appeared to be calling a different number. It happened 5 times, appearing on my fone was my friend's number who incidentally was calling me at the same time but it was that woman on the other line. On my friend's part, a man was answering his call. After that incident UNTIL NOW he cannot send his messages to my suncel nor call me without experiencing problems (he had successful calls on my fone 2x only since that incident). He always receives "MESSAGE SENDING FAILED" but he can text other numbers be it from SUN or OTHER NETWORKS but impossible to my number...we have already this to SUN hotline but no actions were done...

Pagnagkakaproblem kasi sa Sun, per batch yan, depende sa series ng mobile number mo. Nangyayari talaga yan but it should normalize within 24 hours. I'm talking about not being about to received messages. But with regards to switching of voices etc etc..parang normal na e. it happens to me everyday.

@jiminabottle, it took me four tries (sending ACTIVATE to 2300) to finally get my GPRS activated. patience...
@drizzle, i already posted the settings in this thread. just configure your phone manually and if your GPRS is active it will work.

the best way to use sun indoors is to put your phone beside a window, and use bluetooth headset. because the slightest movement will cause signal loss.
