Announcement!!!!
Sun Cellular introduces a New Text Unlimited option. For only P20.00, you can avail of 2 days unlimited text. Good job Sun.
(if only you could improve on your network coverage and congestion problems)
Posted by aw3s0me_dude69
huh?
nawala ung pinost ko?
Posted by CrackerJack
Gusto ko sanang kumuha ng SUN SIM, pero sabi ng kapitbahay ko mahirap daw tumawag o mag-text. Panay daw redial nya bago maka-connect. Meron bang ibang naka experience ng ganito?
Posted by steele
@crackerjack
Suncellular has coverage limitation on some areas. With regards to the difficulty in texting or calling, yes this happens during peak hours. 7pm to 11pm. But I'm sure they're working on this, that's why they've been busy upgrading their system.
Posted by CrackerJack
Maybe SUN's coverage in our area still needs improvement. Maraming salamat po.
Posted by xerx
pero lately maayos na din ang sun a mabilis na makatawag di na kagaya ng dati harharharharharhar

new SUN cellsite at Valley Golf, Cainta Rizal. finally i have signal inside the house. i can send and call na kay tabachingching.
Posted by steele
@bokayo
Good for the people there

Been receiving my text in batches, not real time. There's hardly signal at home at night. If there is signal, takes ages to call. Before i seldom experience "message failed", but now it's been rampant already. Is it my phone, my sim, ormy network? Anyone experience the same thing?
Posted by rickydel
@steele-not in my location. I'm now satisfied w/ sun services
Posted by GOwin
I just read today's papers. NTC clears Sun promo.
It even says that NTC is now allowing the operators to set their own minimum standards, but NTC must approve it first and operator must publish these in layman's terms.
Posted by steele
@rickydel
What's your location? Makati and San juan ako.
@GOwin
That's great for consumers like us but we really need to feel SUN's improvement on their services.
Posted by GOwin
I barely use my Sun sim nowadays. Pangbola-bola na lang.
I don't even bother loading credits, since I get free P150 every month for a year, di ko man lang maubos

Sun Sureload Expiry Questions:
Lets say my monthly sureload of P250 (w/ around P20 remaining) will expire & will be
replenished in 1 day (tomorrow). If I load a P50 call card (today), will it accumulate & follow the expiry of the P50 call card? That makes it P70?
If yes, I will have an additional P250 because of the sureload replenishment so that makes it P250 + 70 is P320?
===============
How about in the case of "Give a load" (w/c has a validity of 24 hours)? If someone sends me a P20 credit from give a load (today), will my other remaining P20 from sureload be retained? So that makes it P40?
If yes, will it be added to my P250 replenishment from sureload? So that makes it P250 + 40 is P290?
Posted by GOwin
Credits in Sun are cumulative.
Depending on the denomination you loaded, all your credits will take on the expiry of the last amount you added.
Php 50.00 7 days
Php 150.00 30 days
Php 300.00 60 days
Php 500.00 60 days
In the case of the Express Load, I'll assume it's the same. Better call them and ask for sure

i'm starting to get pissed with Sun service almost 5 months n akong subscriber then tinaasan pa nila denomination ng mga cellcards nila kahit napakahirap kumuha ng signal for text and calls. Especially kapag emergency and you need to contact someone or vice versa parating busy eventhough it shows signal(most often hirap talagang kumuha ng signal)...im going to get back my Smart SIM .
Posted by steele
@panchumee
It's really not advisable to have only one sim. Use your sun for non-important and non-urgent calls and texts only.
Posted by zairak
@steele ano yung alam mo baka pwede mo share pm mo na lang hehehe
Posted by xerx
@steele tama ka dyan pards...globe for important and sun for chika harharharharharharharhar

hayy.. wlang kwenta sun i swear. i converted my load to buy the 150 text unlmted thru text, nakaltas sa credits ko but ddnt recieve the number string. twag ako ng twag sa sun una na daw case ko watever watever almost 2 weeks na wla parin!!!

@Prankie
You just have to visit their branch and don't leave until they give it to you. If that doesn't work, make a scene and I'm sure they will give it to you. That's what clients do here
Posted by prAnkie
haha tnx 4 the advice! anong branch kaya pinaka ok to make a "scene"?=p
Posted by steele
@prankie
kidding aside, go to the nearest center and file your complaint. Make sure the incident is logged. They'll give you an incident report number so you can make a follow up. Make sure to get the mobile number of the person assisting you. Ask for their commitment when you can make a follow up. If they don't deliver on the date they have promised, tell them that you'll file a complaint directly to Howard Go. Name dropping is the best solution pag ganyan

putcha... 1 z800, 3 n1100 has no sun signal..
same simcard, placed on other units- no problems naman.
note that i have been using sun on z800 for 2months, those nokia 1100 for 7months... all of the sudden, it cant detect sun signal.
Posted by steele
@619
Don't you think it's because of the weather? or your location? And hirap nyan if you tell Sun that you're using z800, they would easily tell you na it's not compatible. Just because they're not yet carrying z800 yet.
Posted by T68 MMS
Sun's signal is really intermittent.. So no matter which phone you place the simcard in, you would really find no signal
Posted by xerx
Korak ka dyan T68 kadalasan nga walang signal...upgrading siguro sila
Posted by rickydel
@*dito kayo sa area namin full bars ang signal ng sun
Posted by steele
@rickdel
Kainggit ka bro. South ka right?
Kaya mabilis maubos ang battery ng phones when using sun than other networks e, because of the strength of their signal.
Posted by rickydel
@steel-yup-thats why no complaints nowadays so far just satisfied sun customer
Posted by 619
re my phones w/ no sun signal, very rare case.. the same simcards place on other phones- ok naman.
now my z800 has globe simcard in it...
using r520m for my sun.
frnd's sun is now on his v3, sold his n1100 to a globe user.
Posted by vwbeetle
sa T68 ko ganyan din, madalas walang signal, paminsan minsan lang may signal. tapos bubuhos lahat ng messages. sabagay ano ba maaasahan mo sa bulok na kumpanyang ito.
Posted by prAnkie
@steele
tnx bro! thank u so much!:-D

@619
My friend recommends a "refresh" sun signal is suddenly not working on the phone. Take out the sim from your phone for 10 mins then put it back. It should be ok afterwards.

@vw harharharharharhar ala talagang maaasahan pagtiyagaan nalang harharharharharharhar

I just called sun hotline
I asked CSR why the hell I can't get any signal.
He asked my location.
I said Quezon City...
He said...." Ayun naman pala kasi sir. We have a scheduled system upgrade for QC"
I said.." E kanina pa ko walang signal. Nasa Makati pa lang ako wala na akong signal"
He said..." Sir, Makati is also scheduled for upgrade sir"
I said..." don't tell me that Pasig is also scheduled for upgrade. coz I was there just a couple of hours ago wala rin akong signal"
He said..."Yes sir scheduled din po"
I said.."Also in Mandaluyong?"
"Yes sir" he replied.
I said.."E di lahat pala ng areas walang signal"
He said..."May areas po naman sa NCR na may signal"
I asked..."like what areas?"
He said..."Certain areas po."
" like where nga e."
he replied..." Paki hintay na lang po. We are currently working on expediting the upgrade. Thank you for calling."
What the fu-k!?
He didn't even answer my question.
SUN sucks.
They're our client...but I must say...SUN SUCKS!
