O2 GPRS Charging - Free or a nasty surpise in store?

I'm on an O2 PAYG sim and just got MMS and therefore GPRS set up as well, even though I was told GPRS access was unavailable for PAYG customers. I have been able to surf using GPRS for about 2 weeks now, the trouble is I don't get charged for it. I know GPRS is charged per MB, but shouldn't I get charged already? lol.

Any other people in the UK have experiences with O2 GPRS on a PAYG sim? I would really hate to dive in and use it loads only to find it eats all my credit.

Hope someone can help me out

na mate, i'm getting it for free on my t68i, just keep it hush! i know people on here who have been getting it free for AGES. I just want to set it up for GPRS on my p800, free gprs on this beast would be awsome... just need to wait to get it unlocked..

Er, it's wap only, you cant connect to html content.
My pay-go sim won't connect in my unlocked SPV Smartphone.
Need a wap browser for the phone, have seen a little program that forces I.E. to access via wap, but it is very confusing, all this dns/ip crap is pissing me off!!!!!

Yeah it is wap only, better than a kick in the teeth though :-) annoying how it cant find servers for pop3\\imap email over gprs (at least from my attempts)

o2 wap GPRS is free because they really want to kick off MMS. I have been involved in quite a few threads about O2 and its free GPRS. At the moment it definitely is free but there is a rumor that it will be stopped at the end of this month. They were doing a promotional "free 3 months of MMS" which included GPRS. It may be the case that once that is over they will start charging for GPRS again.
Wont know for a few days though.

Regards,

Phil.
