Are you people having problems with long threads when using WAP on your phone?
Though, I can't get them on the phone, I hate the idea of locking the thread to re-start another - it kinda stops the momentum of discussion.
What do you think? What can we do?

Yeah it can get really annoying. You think you found something interesting you wanna read and it doesnt work!

Well, I do lock topics, but it doesnt happen often,..only when there are a lot of replies.
But then I "restart" it in a new topic.
This I do, because of the Wap-users,..I know they have problems with these extreme topics

Do you mean that there is a specific reason why wap users cant read long topics or that it's just inconvenient for them?

I have problems loading threads over 5 pages long. But i hate the thread locking solution

Gowin, I dont like it either,..and only do it if its "really" necessary.
One example was my own first bluespoon topic, it was huge, and people on wap complained about it.
The longest one right now, I believe is the T68i topic,..ehh one of them, hehe.
Its like 13-14 pages,..havent locked that one

I see. Thanks for the info.

Wouldn't it be impossible to design the forum so as not to exceed the 2k limit when sending info to the phone?
For example, if it detects that it would exceed the 2k limit, it will divide the page into a number that would meet the limitation.
