I phoned up just after lunch to confirm that they had received the P800s and spoke to Justin. He doesnt know his a*se from his elbow as he told me the P800s were in their warehouse and just waiting to be booked in. Should be shipped at 5pm tonight!

Bollox! - I just phoned again and spoken to one of the girls (not Emma) and she said they hadn't actually arrived and were with customs in Amsterdam!!!! She said they were hoping the P800s would be in tomorrow but she wouldnt commit!

I tried phoning again at 5:40 and got Justin again, was hoping to get Emma! Justin just reiterated what he told me earlier today. Found out he is a supervisor though and the manager is out of the office so I cannot confirm with him. Will try and get an update tomorrow.

Yea, it's great. I took pleasure cancelling my P800 from the sour Emma at eShop who now says they'll be in TOMORROW!? haha. The guy at CPW, Adiz, was great, I should have it before 12 tomorrow. Also took out CPW insurance as opposed the O2 one, was this wise?

Looking forward to it now!

Sony Ericsson E-shop are getting Sony Ericsson the Company a REALLY bad name in the UK with these false promises.

I also totally agree about Emma she needs to change her job.

Hi Dave,

damn, wish you had posted earlier. I just rang Carphone warehouse and they have some sim free in stock but its doubtful they would ship it to me for tomorrow . wonder if any stores have it in stock.

It's the same story here in the US, U could never get right information from SE reps, every time i call to check on my P800 status i get a diffrent answer.

First of all.. I sent an email to se asking if they could send me the norwegian language file. But NO! I have to use an entire day of my precious life to travel to a service centre to get a file which is less then half a megabyte!!!
I also called to hear where the nearest service center was.
And at the same time asked them about the pending(hopefully) firmware update. But she knew nothing of it...

Well,

Justin did lie to me again, I just received an email from their manager and he admitted the phones were still at Amsterdam customs!

Even if they are a sub-contractor it is up to to make sure they fulfill their promises. will be getting a strongly worded letter from me in the not so distant future.

Ive now cancelled my whole order with the Eshop so thats £600 less they will have this week or whenever the P800 is in stock. Carphone Warehouse now have my order and they are very very helpful.

Yeah, last week I called up to see the status of my (USA) order. A guy said they had them, get them in lots of 50 and have been sending them out as they get them, but no ship date for me yet. The next day I called again and a gal said no, they don't have them but they are coming by the end of the month.

Many sales and support people are like that. They never say "I don't know" instead, they make stuff up. I hate it when that happens. My order's still in, where else can I get a US unlocked version for only $650USD?
