Not sure if this was posted or not, but take a look....

Sony Ericsson today announced the availability of an on-line application shop providing useful and fun applications for the P800 smartphone. Starting today, P800 users will be able to buy business and leisure applications which give extra functionality to their P800, such as online dictionaries, mileage managers, games and travel guides. The Sony Ericsson on-line application shop is built with technology and services from Handango, the leading publisher and platform for mobile software.

This new on-line shop not only provides consumers with an easy-to-find shop for adding additional functionality to their phone, but is also a great benefit for application developers who can quickly access the marketplace to distribute P800 applications to consumers. The service will be available from start in English, German, French and Italian and support transactions in Euro, USD and GBP.
The new on- line application shop will be located at www.SonyEricsson.com/handango and two companies will also jointly market the site to P800 users as well as feature value-added software applications on CDs, which will be shipped with the P800.

The Sony Ericsson P800 runs on the latest version of the open operating system, Symbian OS v7.0 and incorporates the UIQ pen-based user interface. As the P800 is built on open standards, it is possible to download corporate applications or games based on Java, C++ and Visual Basic. This means that consumers will be able to update their handsets regularly with new applications and content.

Handango’s application provisioning solution, Handango AMPP, is also used by some of the world’s leading mobile operators including Orange, Sprint, Cingular Wireless, T-Mobile and O2 among others.

“We’re very excited to be working closely with Sony Ericsson to serve P800 users,” said Laura Rippy, Chief Executive Officer of Handango. “Only a few short weeks after their launch of the P800 in Europe, ‘P800’ became one of the top search words on Handango – a sure sign that P800 users are hungry to get the most out of this device’s unique capabilities.”

“Our new on- line application shop is a very important part of our strategy to make the P800 the most versatile smartphone on the market,” says Rikko Sakaguchi, Senior Vice President of Application and Content Development, Sony Ericsson. “We have recently announced several upgrades of the phone as well as important content and application alliances and our cooperation with Handango will enable us to offer consumers the latest applications directly from our website.”

Handango's been selling P800 apps since the P800 was launched. Guess now they're just really cooperating with SE.
