looks great, there won't be any need for the night vision discussed on another thread ( http://esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=21601&forum=35 )
It will do some damage to the battery life if its used too often. I wonder how much power the flash on the Seimens S55 uses.
will want to be carefull what way you hold the phone so as not to block the flash. would be great at a night club sending a pic to your m8s of any nice birds u scored with.

Did that on saturday night

And managed to get my p800 home without falling on it, which I was very impressed about

Does look very tasty, if it's small enough it would score heavily in the '7650 vs P800' camera wars. I own both, and can certainly attest that the 7650 has a far better camera for low light conditions - but if this were actually made and released for a reasonable pittance (i'm not paying more than a tenner! ) then i'd no longer have to even consider that my beatiful P800 was lacking in that department, bettered by my older phone!

I've been just about brave enough to take it to the pub, but I haven't risked a full clubbing session yet... it's still so new I'm afraid some out-of-it and/or larcenous punter will simply grab it and run off...

I'd prob pay bout 20 for it, but y not more than a tenner, surely the money u'd get from being able to get shot of ur ugly brick 7650 would easily pay for it.

Because it really is a plastic piece of nothing, and i resent having to pay ridiculous prices for accessories! I could take a flash bulb and rig up a clip for the connector socket myself for next to nothing - the only bit that may be considered slightly complex is getting the phone to drop a voltage across the connectors when you push the camera button!

Besides, the money from the 7650 will be going towards my credit card bill - i've just bought a P800 and had it unlocked dont'cha know, and the old plastic must've felt that one!

yeah any sort of flash also requires capacitors to charge up first more cost, if it dont charge up slowly in this manner and then the fone send a discharge command the pull of charge of a flash bulb would probably blow the fones electronics. just a point.

Oh sure, i'm not going to go into the circuit - suffice to say it'll be pretty darn simple. My point is, when the components cost altogether around 50p, labour probably another few pence and total manufacturing price in plant plus distribution maybe £1.00, then i'd say 900% profit spread amongst manufacturer and retailer is more than sufficient for them.

It's like the mobile phone cameras. I don't know if any of you actually read the report that came out a few months ago, but it outlined the actual cost of making and implementing a camera into these mobile phones we're paying £300+ for - about $2 per camera. That's all. No wonder some of the japanese conglom's are more than happy to shove 2 or more cameras into the same phone

click on "coming soon"

...and according to this it says "compatible with integrated camera handsets" which suggests it includes the P800.
