I think custom avatars is a cool idea, but leave the option to have the phones as avatars as well.

A live chat thread would be nice-so ordinarily boring, but cool aswell. I'd like to see this - not for esato to turn into a chat site - cos they suck - full of teenagers talking about sex n crap - ny way u get the jist, 'the live chat forum' - dunno whether it would take over esato though??????????????????????????????????????????????????????

ranks would be quite good, but then people would be posting rubbish to up their rank. hehe, i can speak for that...
avatars would suck because, yes, it would clutter up these smart forums. it's useful to know which phones you guys have when replying to a query or something.

IMHO, the forum is mainly here for users to talk about phones and ask questions etc.The avatars are find the way they are because they are useful in helping one answer a question by another user. Standard avatars would simply puny things down.A list of online member imho is a lot more useful than the list of members in esato heheHowever, the quote system could be improved. One quoting the quote could be placed in a any in a diff colour to allow users to distinguish between the post and quote. :-D

These standard avatars make esato stand-out from all other forums. Post-counters and date joined are already there anyways for us to like keep tab of how long a member has been with the site. A rank would not guarantee quality posts posted anyways. As for the members currently on-line feature, well there you go. :-D

No custom avatars cuz it would slow the site and..just saw that i cant load some of the messages now onto my wap phone and i am sure cvy of the avatars,long signatures,and lots of quotes.i agree on the online list
