i just want to share this with you guys.
i was planning on having my t68i upgraded to version R6A at Smartnet Makati, however, since i dont have the time coz i live and work at Quezon City. so i went to cyberzone sm city n. edsa where the Sony Ericsson shop is located (its beside the siemens mobile, which are own and operated by MemoExpress). I asked the guy there if i can have my phone upgraded with the euro version to get rid of the font inconsistency. you know what that st*p*d s*n of a... told me, he said i cannot use the euro version bcoz we are an ASIAN country... and that was in a tone like he was saying i'm stupid.... gusto ko tuloy sabihin ANG LAKI MONG T*NG*...
so i highly suggest that dont go there for any technical matters pertaining to your phone.... ST*P*D TALAGA!!!!
sorry for the harsh words mods... wala na kasi akong magamit to describe the kind of personnel they have there....
dapat ma-report yung mga tangengot na yun eh... buti pa SMARTNET highly recommended... technical personnel pa mag-aasikaso sayo... kahit malayo dadayuhin ko na lang...

First of all, I don't think they are SE personnel at all. Personnel of authorized service points most likely, but not direct employees.
Anyway, sorry to hear about your bad experience. Never had any since I ONLY go to smartnet

l think SE and Siemens SM North shops both are operated by memo express. they get their units from wintelcom

@GOwin -> ok and thanks for editing my post... now i know that SMARTNET is the best...

I agree.. the personnel there are not that customer oriented. and actually it is a great disservice for me to see a shop for Sony Ericsson and then when you ask for particular accessories and parts... mostly they will say.. they dont have it..
Sayang at mukhang poster lang ang Sony Ericsson logo nila and yet they are not doing justice to the company i greatly like in terms of excellent phones...

i just remembered, dun ako nag pa upgrade
ng firmware last december, only to find out
na nde pala latest yung nilagay sakin...
bad trip talaga! nag bayad pako ng P500
para doon.
ang consolation ko na lang cguro eh na ayos
naman yung dreaded data accounts bug =)

i had a bad experience with memo express too. i usually roam aroung sm city whenever i have free time a based on my observation, the staff of that shop are snobbish.

i dont think their have that kind of service i mean in the memoxpress SE coz when i drop by in their shop they give all the services that i want, ya they don't have that stock but i don't think its their problem maybe we should ask the dealer itself coz as far as i know they are a retailer only... and regarding with the euro version i think you misunderstood it coz im using the euro version too and according to them its not suported by SE phils. but they have the firmware for that and its kinda "bawal".... anyway before you made a statement like that, did you aproach the person in a nice way? 'coz i don't get that kind of treatment... TATA! Goodluck!

Thanks for sharing your experience, too bad they claim to be the only SonyEricsson shop here in the Philippines, rude customer relations though. :-(

hey guys, do you know where i can find other sony ericsson shop? please help?

Phoenix
look for the respective threads of Smartnet, Semicon & SESS

Question lang po. Di ba Semicon ang authorized SE dealer? Why is it that mas maraming available na accessories ang Memo Express like the MCA 25 and T68i holsters in which Semicon have no stock?

mas marami kasing customers ang semicon...

Talaga? Nagkaroon kayo ng mga masasamang karanasan doon sa store na yun? Well, lucky I am. Nung nagpaupgrade kasi ako ng phone which is a T68ie, because it has that chinese characters on its keys, maayos naman yung naging result. In fact, I am well contented on the service I received. Wala pa namang nagiging problema so far at nagpa-upgrade ako ng aking unit noong February ,I supposed and nakuha kong version e yung R6 something.

well, i don't have any bad experiences with that shop. in fact they were very gracious to help me with my inqiries...
well, not everyday is a sunny day...
that's the bright side of it.
actually they were very accomodating. they even volunteered to help me set up things in my T68.
lets not only look at the bad side... they are good people too you know...

don't you ever dare! i've been there to have my t68ie upgrade its memory to 1mb (which i know na hindi pwede). that guy, upgraded my phone to r6a na sabi ko, pag hindi nagincrease yung capacity, i won't pay for the upgrade. he agreed. he flashed my phone, and guess what, di nila naayos. in other words, upgraded my phone for free.
then, later on, arnel ignacio came to have his p800 fixed. pero, wala talaga siyang alam, instead of fixing the phone, he installed the game MIB. duhh!

I was there this morning to upgrade a T68mci armed with all comments mentioned in this thread. I was there to give the guy a test without sounding so imposing.
To be fair, a certain Gerry was very accomodating and he asked me if I had backed up my data just for any eventuality. He also mentioned to me that the latest firmware was R7A and I asked him if it were the R7A005, R7A013 or the R7015. Sensing that I knew a lot about the T68, he verified from inside what exactly they had. After confirming that it was the R7A013, he started asking me questions about the differences and its advantages. This started a conversation which led to SE's history to the latest models, he, being humble enough to listen to me.
We parted in a gracious manner and I felt like a satisfied customer especially with the free upgrade and the lively conversation.
People change... let's hope that they continue to improve... it's for OUR benefit that they do.

they must have a rat here at esato!
anyway, it's a good thing they changed.

ok naman sa kanila ha, just went there a while ago, i went with my brother, he upgraded his t68i to the latest software version for free even though his phone is not under their warranty (galing kasi ng greenhills e) .........

like what mariolouis said, maybe they have a rat here in esato and after reading the negative comments about them, they come up with this free upgrade promo. well i welcome their change for the better & pray that'll last.

IMO, this thread should be a lesson how customers be rightly treated.

i also went to SE shop for my fone's upgrade, when i got there the first time, a lady attended to me, well, she did just fine, she knew what i was up to, only she said that their latest firmware for t310 aint had a fully functional calendar contrary to what SE e-mailed me, so i thought that they aint got the latest yet (r3b)
the following week, i dropped by SE shop again for the upgrade, a man attended to me that time, he seemed like he knew nothing but the prices of their fones, he never even knew what i was talking about... i just left.
