gprs Orange payg for Internet as well as wap ??

Can anyone tell me definitely if Orange PAYG can allow me to connect to the Internet not just WAP?
I can connect to the WAP fine but I want to get to the Internet using my PDA for my POP mail etc

I'm on orange PAYG and ive had no problems in sending/receiving emails using my T300.

Yep! No problems at all. Will need to use smtp.orange.net for outgoing server in pop mail

As I understand it, in order to access the Internet using Orange ( not WAP ) you have to have a separate ISP account. The shop suggested registering with Orange so that the charge could be debited from the phone account PAYG. However when I try to do that the Orange website says 'we are no longer taking applications .. '
Is this correct?
The poster above says he uses a T300 but this is a phone isn't it ? not a pda. I want to use an iPAQ3970 for this job.
