Orange UK Payg GPRS - Esato archive

Hi,
I've just had a replacement T68i becuase my last one broke down, and in the menu of the new one are more data accounts, i.e. PAYG GPRS Wap, PAYG GPRS Internet. I have a contract with them but haven't signed up to a GPRS bundle. I tried using the PAYG accounts but all give 'paramenter not supported' error. Is there a way on pay monthly to just pay for the GPRS data you use, instead of buying before. Similar to the PAYG method? Should I ring them up and ask to activate the PAYG for my account?

Yes, thats exactly what I am doing with my PAYG Orange & T68 for both GPRS Wap & GPRS access to my pop3 email. Have also browsed the web by GPRS with my T68 & iPAQ. All works great. What ISP do you use?

PM me and I will help you get the settings right.

If you have an old orange SIM you may need to get customer services to enable GPRS on it. All new PAYG sims have the GPRS set up.

If your phone is showing the new data profiles you should already be able to get GPRS but you will need to modify some settings to suit your ISP.

He is on contract-u have to ring 150 and have the pay as u use gprs bundle added-its Ł3 per mb or Ł4 a month for unlimited wap only access-gdu the socond one?its great value and any data used outside of wap access is still Ł3 per mb

Thanks, but on the 150 line, I can't find any options that allow me to do this!?!
