He was just correcting you to avoid FALSE information! the Oppo 7 do not have a "50 MPx Camera" but an "13MPx Sony Exmor RS Camera" which is capable of shooting "50 MPx photos combining 10 different shots" it is really different!!!

it is a software feature, not an hardware one!

I like this phone! really good, I'll still buy the Xperia Z2 (IMHO better design and build quality, better sound, better camera, IP58...)

But Oppo has really done a GREAT work... finally they introduce a 5,5" screen with QHD! pros to them for being the first... I like the UI! and the fact that it has 32GB of ROM...
The status LED do not seem anything special, it's neat, but not that better than the Z2...
I'd like to hear how the speaker sound, if this MaxxAudio for Oppo will make some difference!
also... will a 3000mAh battery be enough for a QHD screen and a Snapdragon801? IMHO it will drain hell fast!! I think that if I had to buy this phone I'd still go for the FullHD screen with 2800 mAh battery... more equilibrate IMHO

Even I was wrong about the precise MP size of the senor - that was due to Verge spouting incorrect information which I regurgetated.

however ... you really need to read carefully to understand what is being said and understand that EVERYTHING about a product now is ALL about MARKETING - the ability to sell you something you don't NEED by creating the thought that you WANT IT!

Precisely from your source ... it specifically states under the section called "Created to Capture"

With the Find 7’s 13-megapixel camera, you’ll capture crisp photos with ease.

What you where reading, but probably lost the true understanding was due to great marketing - something I don't blame you on ... it's got me too in the past about a lot of products.

Shoot 50-megapixel photos with the "Super Zoom" multi-shot feature.

Underlined and bolded for proving my point about marketing .... 50 Megapixel Photos /= 50 Megapixel Camera! That is the queue and in the same sentence mentions feature. That is the clue that it's marketing software feature and using marketing to get users to really salivate over it.

All in all it's a very GOOD job by Oppo for a quality product.

PS: I was just correcting you ... I was not insulting you nor stating you where completely wrong just about the 50 Megapixel Camera vs Photos. That's all.

Just looked the GSMarena review and they've added the phone to their photo comp tool, which I often use when comping cameras

Its pretty much on Nokia N8 levels.. which is impressive in some ways, and no so much in others when you consider that its over 4 years newer. Very close to the GS5 as well.. I wish I could add more than just 3 phones at a time.
