I would hate it if Sony would actually release the Win8 mobile.
Win8 is seriously no competition for Android. And the worst part is that once you are with any Windows mobile. There is grim chance of you being able to install any latest Windows in the future. The once with Win 7 and 7.5 never got updated to 8. And this trend would remain much or less the same.

^Those devices that didn't get Win8 do not meet the minimum hardware requirements. Plus, although more mainstream now, I doubt manufacturers would want to produce Windows phones now. Microkia has monopoly over the Win phones. And I'd hate a Windows phone from Sony.

Having Lumia 925 right now along with my Xperia TL,the only thing i can say is old SE java phones were way better than windows phone.for instance you have to go to setting just to switch on things.awful experince.loadings everywhere.i wont rate it more than 2/10.Stock keyboard is plain crap and you dont have any alternatives.no graphics anywhere just plain black or white.
but its all just my opinion.i respect others.

A off-topic question came to my mind, How come that Sony and Microsoft are so awesome at keeping leaks and info about their new Consoles from leaking? i mean all these 7 years we haven´t seen ANY Rumour about Playstation 4 and Xbone that was true Before The companies announced them.

The specs of both Xbox1 and PS4 were leaked by VGLeaks months before announcement. There was even accurate rumours on forums such as neogaf and beyond3d way before that.

not that i care much about naming, but huiyi said "Z2" won't be Z1 successor name, so maybe Z1s, who knows? but surely Z1 + letter... i don't think they will call it Z1.5 - would be funny... it actually makes sense not to call it Z2 because its release date will probably be more or less only half a year after Z1 was released, so a jump from 1 to 2 would be too fast and silly... that's my opinion anyway. apple is even slower with advancing in numbers... also, Z1 was called that because it's the first "one sony" device from what i understand (otherwise Z1 should have been named Z2, because Z was the first Z device, not Z1). i think they will keep using a number but advance in number only once a year. look how many Z's in one message.

I think that the device on top on the picture is most likely the Z1 successor, reasons for that:
1. there are a lot of companies cases designed with the jack position in mind so sony won't mess with their business
2. it's not likely to change the Z1 construction before announcing a successor.
3. they will probably stick to the same design with the new device cause it's a revamped version of the Z1 = Z1+letter, like iphone 5s (not "Z2" = no new design).
4. they seriously took the criticism of the Z1 big bezels and made the new device with the same dimensions of the Z1 or a tiny bit bigger but increased the display size to 5.2" to go back to xperia Z display to bezel ratio.
the new position of the jack is to make the device more comfortable to grip horizontally while the earpiece is connected.

I think its the Z1 for a US carrier, it been done in the past where there is a slight change in the design in this case the position of the headphone jack.
Any news for Z1F global release? I'm growing impatient with all this waiting as my Xperia P is almost dead. Is the announcement coming this month based on the case that is for sale on Amazon? Any ideas?

Yeah, Xperia Tablet Z already is a soft touch back.
It would be very nice though if Xperia Tablet Z2 is powered by S805 chipset and maybe can hence up the screen resolution up a notch since it is a 10" tablet perfect for pdfs. I like ultra sharp text.
Meanwhile, will continue to enjoy the tablet Z...

it's not likely that any device at CES will be announced with snapdragon 805... because it never happened before and qualcomm will introduce the cpu at CES so it will take time to arrive to new devices... i bet only the xperia z2 will have 805 and announced at MWC. for CES they will announce tablet z1 and mini z1 both with 800...

The only info from known sources here is that the "Z2" will have 5.2 inch IPS display but it will not be called Z2. Z1 mini will be announced at CES and released in 4 colors shortly after. that's all. everything else is speculations. no one knows much these days, probably cause of sony no leak policy. though, we can expect for CES Z1 mini, new Tablet Z, and maybe Z1 successor. new Z Ultra? i don't think so, too early for a new phablet because it's not as popular as the 5"ish phones.
