Anything new on software side?because launcher looks updated.thank you for info

All in all, the device looks to bring some new stuff to the table, but there is some things that bug the hell out of me: the 16 Gb internal, for example. I know this is a huge turn off for many, including me. Go 32 Gb or go home. Another thing is the front facing camera. Honestly, the one in my Tablet Z, albeit being 1 year old already, sucks. The iPhone 4S fcc is much better all around, for example. Increase that sensor/Mp number size.

IP68 = the highest possible dust + second highest water protection, if I have read it correctly.

QX1 OR Z3!!

Posted by ascariss
Why not both

More here

but the rest of the photos will be on SAR.

Wow, it has pop-up/attachable flash!

Posted by testarlol
Nice, this makes the Z3X rumors with images featuring attachable lenses look more credible too.

I guess the aperture priority shooting and the shutter speed priority shooting modes are only for the attachments? Or... ?

I feel any changes to the camera software for Xperia will occur during the android L change over

from the picture below we can see there are few changes but I'm not sure if exclusive to QX1 software

If that is Z3 in the QX1 promo pics, then why do the stereo speakers/earpiece look like Z2's and not separate from the edge like in the Z3 leaks?

Loving those Z3c colours though!

Posted by goldenface
The camera attachments look fantastic. Especially the one with the pop-up flash extended. Wow!

Hopefully it means that playmemories for mobile and for supported cameras will get big update with new features - for one, bulb control, why do I need remote shutter control if I can't control bulb!

now that looks like a proper detachable camera/lens. Finally it now includes the thing that the first QX lenses were lacking, which is a pop up xenon flash.

Z3 compact looks great, there better be an improved camera software for these new smartphones otherwise such a waste of hardware potential. Can't wait to see reviews when these comes out.

Posted by razec
Manual controls + tight software integration or it'll be another waste of photographic potential like the QX100

I'm seeing alot of potential applications for this outside mobile photography, especially during such instances where the unusual angle of shooting could make subjects very difficult to capture

The photos where you have the playmemories are not with the Z3, they are with Z2

the photos which the attached device are the Z3.

@XperiaCute, the playmemories is only for the QX line, you can see the attachment on the camera.

Posted by Gitaroo
the camera attachment looks different from the supposedly Z3X pics, so does that means Z3X was a fake?

SW3 might be android-wear based.

Posted by goldenface
Looks great. For when a selfie just wont do.

Looks like the QX1 is using the A5000 sensor instead of the A6000 that we hoped for.....

The sensor is the same in those two cameras.

Sony nailed Nokia to the neck

the QX1 is thicker than a A5000...., might as well get the A5000 by itself....

The lens thing is a very good idea but it's just too big to go on a phone, if it was small it would be even better.

No no no, the phone goes on the lens.

Yup! That's the way Sony is thinking. The phone is the 'accessory' device in this set up.

Posted by supercoolman
with one of the picture showing using tablet with the camera/mounted-lens, phone is now the accessory of the QX lens

How so ?

Posted by ascariss
Odd, I sent xperiablog some photos of the new Z3, but they did not post them yet, hmm.

Posted by Hilmawan
I think Sony should include a clip-on LCD, which can be mounted on the back of the QX cameras.
So I don't always have to use my phone or tablet, to be able to see what I shoot with a QX cameras.

2. Something inches, tiltable, WhiteMagic, touchscreen display would be nice for the QX cameras.

No, they are not the same sensor. The A5100 has the same one as the A6000, not the A5000.

What you're saying is called, "getting a proper mirrorless camera from Sony".

I think someone from Sony took this old picture a little bit too serious.

Seriously, why would anyone want to attach a big ass lens to the phone, rather than just having a separate camera?

@ascariss why not post them oh here instead

Because it would look so cool to attach something like this to your smartphone when you are on a sight-seeing tour.

Personally I can only think of one or two use cases where such a smartphone lens system would make sense.

Leaks: , press photos: . Various perception phases of Sony phones once again confirmed .

I think it's better to be surprised, but then again, I love rumours .

I hear ya. So far, I agree but I'll wait until I see more of the Z3. I love the Z2 design. The Z3 looks a bit too minimalist but I wouldn't say it was bad. There are far worse looking phones out there.

Are the corners made of a new shock resistant material?

They sure do. I looks like if the phone is dropped the corner will just pop out.
