We just have summer here and some rains.

Anyways, good job in the last month competition

Autmn is a bit of a problem for members in the southern hemisphere but I'm sure they'll work their way around it and colour this thread anyway.

Nice theme
I just shot some nice captures but yesterday!!!

Posted by Ricky D
Can I shoot something that looks like an Autumn scene but isn't strictly speaking necessarily Autumn?

Posted by 9_Destiny
Great theme. Btw. Can someone from admin-team unstick my theme from August, write something in September's theme and stick this theme? These actions should help to save chronology of monthly competition placed in General forum index.

Posted by tranced
Excuse me? That competition has a name. Or do you mean to add a link to the next (this month's) competition?

"strictly" lmao... I'm sure I'll get crap for saying this but OH WELL....

I'm guessing you can post whatever you want and call it "autumn colors" ...so long as it's a cool photo and people vote, you're good. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying the wining photo wasn't awesome but I don't think it "strictly" followed the rules AT ALL. In all fairness all photos capture lots of colors so in essence any photo could have met the requirement of "5"as in last months op...additionally all cameras capture lots of pixels....

so, go for it....as long as your photo includes some of the colors seen during autumn, YOU'RE GOOD!

I agree and think we should stay closer to the theme.

Posted by Sylwester
Fact! Not everywhere is now autumn in addition as beautiful as in Poland !
I'm sorry that not all will be able to take part in the contest autumn: (
The portal Esato I met a lot of talented people I hope that delights us with his photographs !

I must admit im in total agreement. Sylwester's photo was very good (being a Pureview shot!) but didn't qualify at all. First off he entered 10 minutes after the deadline (according to the time on my Esato) and secondly, there wasn't lots of them in the photo. Cupcake30 (my partner) picked the theme based on my idea if I had won - so I know exactly what should have qualified and what should not.

No offence to Sylwester, it could have been any other member, but its not the first time we've seen pictures win which haven't met the rules.

Anyway, moving on, a good theme for this month even though it limits the amount of people who can enter.

Posted by hihihans
Yes, he was 10 minutes late but I let it in as it was there when I started to make that list. You might have noticed that I closed voting half an hour early. I don't want to be strict with the time. There are 28 days to enter and 3 days to vote, plenty of time to not worry about a few minutes.

Voting system is as transparent as it can be. I guess the ones who voted for our winner did think it qualified as "theme".

Yes, the August shootout is still not locked and a sticky

Posted by tranced
@marly: it is locked, but still a sticky. The great boss is busy and he's the one who can do that.

Posted by Marly
Oh, didn't know, that only laffen can "unstick" threads

I wanna try and get same autumn pics as I got last year with my Lumia. Was really pleased with them

men and aged are also welcome.

Posted by Sylwester
For me, autumn already fully, but the red leaves is not yet, I'm waiting for the whole palette of colors ......

Posted by etaab
Well here in the UK we have unusally sunny and warm weather for October, we're still in a late summer rather than autumn.

Posted by Sylwester
In Poland, it is now also beautiful weather is warm, but the previous week it was cold in the morning frost to-4'C, dropped a lot of leaves

Posted by etaab
The problem is lots of brown leaves is all a bit predictable for the autumn theme.

Posted by hihihans
It was the only thing that was not green. Seasons change late this year.

Posted by Bonovox
@etaab, later this week the temperature is about to drop. October can be mild it's when we get to November it begins to be colder. October is normally wet windy and mild

The obvious problem is this competition will be over in November.

Anyway, heres hoping for some good entries.

I'm going with loosely fitting, trying to capture autumnal colours in a not necessarily autumnal subject. My guess is that this is the only way some members will be able to fit the subject month.

Peanut skins

Tell me if it's not allowable.

great shot.

... the "theme" this month is "Autumn Colors" not autumn scene, autumn leaves or anything specific. So based on the title, as long as your photo includes golden hues, burnt orange-ish colors, varying browns or yellows, I can't imagine anyone having a problem with your photo (especially considering what happen last month). And besides, with now being autumn... aren't all colors presently "autumn colors"?
