[TUT] How to modify manifest.mf of Java Apps

How to modify MANIFEST.MF of Java Apps w/o unpacking/packing and extracting from .jar file.

Tools Needed:
- X-plore (optional)
- Opmod421b25 (or latest Opmod)
.
.
Download Operamini (java) here: m.opera.com
.
.
For Opera Mini 7.1
.
filename: mini.jar
.
Step#1
Using X-plore
Rename .jar to .zip
(mini.jar to mini.zip)
.
(Note: no need to rename, if you can open .jar using LATEST Opmod421 File Manager)
.
.
Step#2
Using Opmod421b25 (or latest Opmod)
.
Press Menu-Go to-File Manager
.
Locate/Higilight your "mini.zip"
Press center-key then open the META-INF folder.
.
.
Step#3
Higilight MANIFEST.MF
Press Menu-Open-Text/UTF
.
.
Step#4
We will REPLACE all "Opera Mini" to "Opera Mini MOD by Vox"
(Note: DO NOT EDIT DIRECTLY)
.
Press Menu-Find/Replace
Input the ff.
Find ...:
Opera Mini
.
Replace with (check box):
Opera Mini MOD by Vox
.
Press Find ...
.
.
Step#5
Press Menu-Save Then Close
.
.
Step#6
Click the 2 dots [..] or up one level
.
Click the 2 dots [..] or up one level again
.
(Note: DO NOT press Back)
Saving...
.
.
Step#7
Press Menu-Operations-Rename
.
Rename mini.zip to mini.jar
.
.
Step#8
Press Back Then Exit Opmod
.
.
Step#9
Install your mini.jar
(it will not overwrite your unmodified Operamini7.1)

Step#10
Enjoy!

How to ADD Detail
e.g.
MIDlet-Delete-Confirm: Operamini 7.11 MOD by VOX

Follow Step#3 Then
Press Menu-Edit-Text:Page

COPY any detail or line
e.g.
Nokia-MIDlet-On-Screen-Keypad: no
.
Then Press Cancel
.
.
Follow Step#4
.
Press Menu-Find/Replace
Input the ff.

Find ...:
Nokia-MIDlet-On-Screen-Keypad: no
.
Replace with (check box):
Nokia-MIDlet-On-Screen-Keypad: no
MIDlet-Delete-Confirm: Operamini 7.11 MOD by VOX

Press Find ...
