Yuga Size compared to major devices ( Note 2, Yuga, S3, Xperia S, Xperia arc )
http://www.sizeasy.com/page/s[....]-Yuga-vs-S3-vs-Xperia-S-vs-Arc
Yuga Size compared to S3 and the new 5 inchers from HTC and Samsung...
http://www.sizeasy.com/page/s[....]vs-HTC-Droid-DNA-vs-Yuga-vs-S3
Yuga size is the smallest between all 5 inchers, except Odin
The good is the margin between Yuga and S3 is very small despite S3 is using 4.8 and Yuga is 5.0... the Samsung center physical button + hardware touch keys plays it's rule with the size of S3...

BTW, since Eldar previewed Yuga I don't understand something he mentioned...
he said in the left side there's microHDMI, microUSB and the exposed docking contacts
but from the pictures, I see the top port that looks like the microUSB, then the microSD slot, then the exposed docking contacts...
Left side ports, only microUSB -> microSD -> exposed docking contacts
and here's a wider look in the left side shows no more ports other than these three
in the top there's the headphone jack, on the right there's the microSIM port, so where's the microHDMI port ?
Posted by randomuser
There is no microHDMI, only MHL.

@randomuser, that's what I thought, I was skeptical when he said microHDMI and the pics just made it worst...

YUGA of a release version has an IPS display of the same JDI as DROID DNA?
In the review of Elder, I can consider it on the conventional display with the same poor viewing angle as Xperia T etc...

Eldar had prototype Yuga, not Final Retail model.

Yes, but the chat room was empty when I checked 15 min ago.

hmm...
It does not seem to make a 5 inch conventional type panel only for a prototype...
I wish JDI displays.

Oh really? They all record in stereo sound.
It's a shame that Sony kills their own baby named V...

Just some anecdotal observations from Hong Kong on Sony's rise: I just visited Hong Kong, bought an Xperia V for a friend (it costs US$568 there). Around me some 5-6 other people were buying phones, they were ALL Sonys! I asked the sales guy at this shop, Wilsons in Central, he said Sony is very popular now.
The next day I visited Fortress, a large chain store. At their Tung Chung outlet they had one big section for Samsung, another for Sony, then a third for "all the rest".
So I wouldn't be surprised if Sony is at least the nr 2 Android provider there, although I don't have any solid numbers.

Great, wouldn't expect that at all given the friction between Japan and China right now. As far as I know, the riots were far worse in South China than in North China but I don't know if that included in Hong Kong.
Here in Beijing all I see are iPhones, increasingly more Samsung phones, and an equal amount of various Chinese phones (Huawei, Xiaomi, etc.) There are a few Sony phones that I've seen on the subway maybe once or twice a week whereas I see an iPhone 4/4S on at least one person per bench on a daily basis. I saw the first iPhone 5 yesterday. A colleague of mine has an Xperia S though.
Any one else have more anecdotal observations from other parts of the world?

Though Hong Kong is part of China, Hong Kong-ers dont act or like Chinese people.
In Singapore, unfortunately is only Apple and Samsung. Next, I see mix of Sony and HTC. (A lot of Arc S but I rarely see people holding 2012 range). Motorola, Nokia and China phones (Singaporeans don't trust Chinese brands) are rare.

In Vancouver-Canada, rarely you see new devices that are not iphone or samsung; with the Samsung group very vocal about how great their device is and why they should switch over from what ever they have and get a Galaxy right away

Do we know what the final name for Yuga / Odin will be yet? Will it still be the alphabet system?
I'm guessing Yuga will be named Xperia ZX.

Sony is the 2nd top smartphone vendor in the. Philippines

Here in Dominican Republic, sadly there is no market for Sony, at least until now. A Sony store recently opened and promised to have a range of Sony phones from January on... I hope so, since the carriers here arent offering Sony anymore, not even Orange, who traditionally always had a couple of Sony devices, now only offers the Xperia P.
Here is what i perceive in my surroundings regarding most used brands:
1-Blackberry
2-Apple
3-Samsung
4-Alcatel
5-Others

Wonder why we aint seen any photos of the Odin yet. The only so called photo was a proven fake/rendor it only differs from the Yuga by design and size accoring to rumors I just hope that it doesnt have those stupid port flaps (unless it is also waterproof) surely someone out there can throw some light on this Xperia smartphone.

Will the Yuga be available in white? What about Dogo? Will dogo be launched at CES or MWC?

Yes Xperia Z/ZX
I think I saw somewhere it will be Xperia Z/ZL

I think both the Yuga and Odin will be announced at CES along with the Dogo sony will want to hit the ground running in 2013 and what better way than to announce 3 new high end smartphones just like when they announced the T, V and the J back in August
Posted by unknownC151A
Remember Sony's Q3 phones? Xperia T kept leaking but there's close to zero leaks of Xperia V. And while Xperia T launched quiet fast while Xperia V took it's own sweet time. I hope this does not happen to Odin or Dogo.
And is there benchmark leaks of Odin?
Posted by XperiaJunkie
wonder if Random can shed any light on the Odin's design hope it isnt a just a smaller version of the Yuga not that I dont like the look of the Yuga its the port flaps they just annoy me especially the one over the headphone jack

The reason you haven´t seen any Odin leaks is because according to Random they look the same, if not identical they almost look like eachother. Nope Odin is going to be bigger than Yuga, i don´t know how much bigger tho

^^^ Eh..i think there's a slight error in there mate....actually Odin's gonna be smaller than Yuga in dimensions
Experts please clarify.....
