Hey guys!!

Thanks again for the votes last month and its exciting to think up a new theme this month.

Ok as I mentioned its a bit different this month, Im not sure this has been done before but I have decided to go with the letter J.

Now the reason Im doing this is that Im getting married in January to my wife to be Jenner.

So just thought it would interesting to see.

So the brief is simple, shoot anything at all that begins with the letter J! It could be anything from Juice to Jenga lol Doesnt matter what the scene is, what would be interesting is what you guys can come up with!!

When you publish your photo if you could tell us what it is so that we can compile the list at the end!

As per usual we have the rules attached below. I wish you all the luck and again have fun!!!

Cheers!!

Gareth

RULES:
1- Pictures must be taken with a mobile phone by that member.
2- Only 1 photo with allowance for only 1 change.
3- No archive photos & photos must be taken in October 2012.
4- Post full size photo here http://www.esato.com/phonephotos/ & post a link to that photo.
5- Picture post processing not allowed.

Just a quick question: Does the thing that starts with the letter J should be in English, or could be, in my case, Portuguese?

Posted by rikken
Interesting theme

Posted by chunkybeats
@Felimenta97 It can be anything you want in any language, just as long you put the name (and its translated form) with your photo!!

Posted by tranced
And my wife's name starts with J as well. I think I've got my photo sorted already

This theme is quite unique. Kinda puzzling, but not impossible. Our creativity is put to test and let's see who's gonna win this month.

Posted by hihihans
Yes! I like this theme. Everyone can find something with a J

Posted by Felimenta97
@chunkybeats: Thanks.

Ideed, it's a very interesting theme for this month. We could do a poll to with a few themes at the end of the month (or not?)

Gonna see what I find and take a picture. I'd say Brands are okay too?

Posted by chunkybeats
@ Felimenta97 - Yes brands are fine

Very original topic of monthly competition. Well done chunky

Posted by hihihans
a bit late bit i have a shortened url for in you signatures to promote the J

The letter J competition

Posted by fbloise
Count me in!

Isn't gonna be easy to spot a letter J

Posted by tranced
Shouldn't be.

Posted by hihihans
A letter J is easy but something that starts with J is a bit more complicated.

Posted by etaab
Get ready for lots of manufactured images of the letter J !

Posted by chunkybeats
This is great fun, all them great minds thinking!!! I love Bonos suggestion of Jesus lol

Remember it can be anything in any shot, so maybe think out of the box, thats the way Im portraying it! You never know if this becomes a success we can do other letters of the alphabet!

Posted by Bonovox
If the second coming of Jesus happens. Trying to rack me brains on this. I have a brother named Jason

Posted by chunkybeats
@ bono , there you go mate thats your entry sorted!! lol

Posted by Bonovox
Gonna be hopefully meeting up with Fbloise this weekend in Birmingham so will look for something around the city I guess it can also be something that means something to you. Ooh I just seen a Jedi

@ceaser2008
You mean the two J , in one go ........ heeheeheehee

Posted by Bonovox
Oh yes Jignesh your real name

Posted by biosx
Let the J's come.

Posted by Felimenta97
Ok. Already know what my photo will be. 4 J's on a single image, unless I can think of something else to include.

Posted by etaab
@ chunkybeats - could you just confirm for me and my girlfriend the rule of this months competition. She likes to boss me into what pictures to take and enter. So much for free will huh.

We've come to a bit of a disagreement about what is acceptable. Does the image have to have a letter J in it, or just an object / scene / item that name starts with a J ?

For example, a carton of Orange Juice that says Juice on it thats clearly displays the J character

OR

a simple glass of orange juice and we could enterpret the object to be juice, which begins with the letter J ?

please reply, shes doing my nut in !

Posted by hihihans
@etaab. A glass of juice is good, Xperia J or a pair of jeans are also fine. I'm not sure if a chocolate J is valid.

Posted by Bonovox
I have a nice idea in my head today but might take a few days to set up perfectly Something or rather someone that means something to me

Posted by chunkybeats
ok guys to finalise this, it has to begin with the letter J not with a j within a word, hope this helps

Posted by Bonovox
That's clear Would be silly otherwise. But does the letter J have to appear in the photo or just be something with J at the start but jot visible in photo?? Like today I seen a Jaguar pass me by but it was moving

Posted by chunkybeats
doesnt matter either way, so say you had that Jaguar, as long as you just put on your entry what it is thats all matters.

Posted by hihihans
It's all clear to me. Any J will do. Be creative!

Posted by hihihans
no entries yet? come on, it's the 10th already.

Posted by Bonovox

Posted by chunkybeats
the tumbleweed is blowing across the street lol

nah I havent got a photo yet, been thinking myself. The thing is we always get entries come the last 5 days before the end of the month so its still early!

Posted by 9_Destiny
Hey chunky I got one question for You. Can we use names starting with J in our native languages? Correct me if I’m wrong but it could be very interesting to see some native named photos with explanation what is their real meaning. For example in Polish >jagoda< means berry, >jeż< means hedgehog. Native names allowed or we should focus only on English words?

Might be interesting, to see "J's" in other languages.

I think it will be or, names, or things in English anyway.

It will be a person's name, a brand, a drink and a singer. I just need to find a way to make all those four fit on the image.

Mmmm...interesting theme

Posted by hihihans
Okay, I'll go first.
In the photo you see a Jack-plug, the cord is placed as a capitol J and the surface it's on is my daughters dress (in Dutch: Jurk)

Original

Posted by Bonovox
Yeah we have first one

Posted by chunkybeats
I like it hihihaans, you are certainly thinking outside the box sir! Well done!

Posted by Bonovox
Determined to do mine this week.
